CATMen's Outline ST Work Boot

1000's of miles.
These fit better than most boots I have had. I use them every day, and put 1000's of miles on my first pair. I used to work 12 hour shifts and walk 12-15 miles per day. These are comfortable and hold up well to daily abuse. I am on my second pair now, but the first is still good for outside tasks. The stitching is coming loose on the first pair after a few years of heavy daily use. They are still super comfortable. Add iron laces, they hold up well.

Steel Toe fine, but soft leather everywhere else.
Wish there was reinforced material in the rest of the boot. Steel toe is fine, but a drop on the upper part of the foot leaves no protection, like the Craftsman steel toe boot I was wearing when a plywood panel fell on my foot (not my toes). Two months out of work because of zero protection for the top of the foot.

Boots Better Suited For Operators
The boots came in good timing, packaged well. They lasted me about 3 1/2 months of continuous use, at about at least 5 days a week wearing them, at usually 10 hour long work days. I like that they are flexible, and easy to move around in. However, I would say they are not meant for any underground work, because sand can easily make its way inside the boot. They are not waterproof, so any exposure to water will immediately make your feet wet. I would say they are a great fit for someone predominantly operating machinery, rather than laboring.

Appears well made. I'll let you know how they hold together in a few months.
I liked the comfortable fit. I wear 10-1/2" EW or 11 R. These are perfect for me and I have to wear them and have worn for 12 or more hours a day. I needed the steel toes for OSHA.

Not for mechanics nor construction workers.
I was unable to get a year out of these. These boots cant withstand heat nor solvents. The laces are trash. Very uncomfortable. These boots are for folks that works in warehouses or in offices and want to give the impression that they do tough work. MECHANICS, CONSTRUCTION WORKERS, CONSTANTLY ON YOUR FEET: Don't even think about it. Catepillar should label these "Soft work boots" or "light work boots". The soles on these became so soft, walking on p rocks became a big problem
