Q: Are the tongs dishwasher safe?

Yes. And they are wonderful, quality tongs. Hubby uses almost daily for cooking in our 8 qt air fryer. Whether it is wings, fries, shrimp, hot dogs, steak, chicken breasts, bratwursts, etc, these tongs pick up no issue.

Q: Can you use these in very hot oil?

Heat-resistant up 500°F of the silicone head part, but so as to avoid accidents that it is forbidden to soak in oil pan or keep the whole tong in high temperature environment for a long time.
