I washed the basket in the dishwasher before using it. After using it for the first time I could smell this strong perfume plastic like smell in the air while things were cooking. All I made were bell peppers and onions and they tasted like plastic and rubber it was horrible. I didn't event cook it on a high temperature. Definitely going to return this or toss it away.

Could not rate it as we have not used it much smaller than I thought. I should have sent it back but during the time of purchase we had so much going on I forgot about it. I don't think we will ever use this product due to the size. Save your money and my mistake for not looking at the dimensions when we purchased it.

I love using this insert, makes clean up much easier, less wear and tear on my basket. Love the idea that I can just pop this into the dish washer as well. I would recommend this product to anyone who uses their air fryer as much as I do.
