Fantastic yarn bowl. It has some weight to it, but I love that so it doesn't fall off the couch or table as I'm working and pulling yarn. It's also incredibly beautiful. Very well made and packaged exceptionally well for shipping.

I did not not reieve the bowl as I sent it direct as a gift. I was told it was beautiful,too attractive just to hold yarn.

Love the design and color of this yarn bowl.As with most yarn bowls, it's not huge. If you usually work from center-pull skeins or larger balls, you'll want to rewind your yarn into smaller balls in order to take advantage of the smaller size of this bowl. (I use a swift and ball winder -- just takes a few more minutes to prepare the yarn balls).The workmanship is fine -- no rough edges to snag. I've used it so far with some bulkier (size 5) scarf yarn and also for some finer (size 2) sock yarn with no problems at all. It has a nice weight, too, so it doesn't slide around. I just set it down next to my chair and pull the yarn from there.Would make a nice gift for any knitter or crocheter.

Very nice design with smooth metal work. The bowl is weighty so it won’t move when tugging yarn.

It arrived on time and in perfect condition. Not only is this gorgeous, but the openings for the yarn to slip through are very smooth, so no snags on the yarn!

This is the second yarn bowl I've ordered from Hind Handicrafts. The background color on mine is dark pink, with hand-painted red flowers outlined in gold all over the outer surface. The inner surface is gold. Surfaces and all edges are very, very smooth - quite important as to keep from snagging or pulling yarn as one works.This bowl is so pretty I can envision using it as a centerpiece when not using it for knotting or crochet (as if that's going to happen....) It came with a black velveteen bag, for storage or as a work bag - quite handy. Although outside bottom of the bowl does not have a non-skid finish (The other Hind bowl does have this) because the bowl is weighty this should not be an issue. (Easily resolved by placing on a jar opener or piece of shelf liner IMO)

I bought this a while ago to help me keep my yarn from tangling and from rolling across the room. It is absolutely my favorite crochet “helper”. It has enough weight that it stays in place when pulling on the yarn. It is beautifully designed. It fits most of my yarn balls. Only occasionally do I have a yarn ball that is big enough that it fits tightly enough that it doesn’t dispense as well until it shrinks. But that is very rare. Most of them fit perfect! I am so glad I purchased this!

I'll level with you right off the bat, I don't knit. I bought this as a gift. I had a rough idea what she wanted and I looked for what , in my minds eye, fit that description. The item I got was not what I expected but that's not a bad thing.I had it in my head it was some big, salad bowl style thing. I had it in my head it would be plastic or whatever but what I ended up getting was actually small and made of metal as opposed to a metallic veneer. Neither point is a negative. I've seen my wife use it and it's the right size and the metal gives it a weight I can only imagine is handy for it being used. It's a lovely design too and purple which is my wife's favourite colour so really it ticks all the boxes.A great item and I'd definitely recommend it for any partners who've been sent on a mission to get such a thing for a significant other.

Really lovely yarn bowl, work’s marvellously. Much nicer than a wooden one. No catching of the yarn. Arrived in super quick time from India. No import charges.

I guess the "beautiful gift box" was missed. The box it came in is in fact disgusting and smells like it has been in someone's basement for 10 years. This is a gift and I will have to find another box to wrap it in. Just thought it was odd that they would put that in the description and that is the one thing I don't like about it.

I love it. Just the right size for most yarn. Beautiful and sturdy. Heavy enough to stay in place when you pull the yarn. Only negative comment is that the description mentioned a nice gift box and it came in a brown box with no inscription on that I can’t put in the “gift box” category. A storage black velvet bag is provided with the bowl.
