I rely on feedback a lot for my purchases so always hope the reviews are accurate and now return the favour with what I believe to be an accurate review.So Hozelock claim this hose pipe is "Anti -kink and crushproof hose with Super Tricoflex(TM) Technology". Well it depends what they mean by "Anti-kink" because it DOES kink! Admittedly with cheaper hoses a kink creates a weak spot which is susceptible to further kinking and which eventually causes a cracked hose pipe. This hose is indeed stronger and the kink did not leave a crease but I will be careful infuture and try and avoid a kink in the same place.They also say "Flexible, light and easy to handle". Come on, no it isn't. It is as unwieldy as any hose pipe other than the extendable hose pipes. It was unwieldy when I unwound it to use it and it was just as unwieldy trying to wind it back onto the free standing Hozelock Reel Cart.A little more untrue is the "Supple and soft whilst remaining robust" comment. Robust I'll give you but soft and supple iot is not.As to wether it is "Weather proof with UV and frost protection" I can't answer that as I have only just received it and used it a couple opf times but I'll take it as true that there is indeed a "Guarantee - 30 Year"Don't get me wrong, this is a better quality hose pipe than others and I am happy with my purchase but it is as much a bind to unreel and rewind after use and with this type of material we have to accept that. I have tried two of the expandable hose pipes............now THEY are flexible and light but unfortunately both were as fragile as eggshells and developed leaks after very little use so for me, I have settled for this proper robust hosepipe which I am sure will last for years and just accept that such quality comes with a little inconvenience just before and after use.

First we need to talk about 50m of tightly curled newly born hosepipe. It arrives looking so well behaved. If you're planning to transfer this darling hosepipe onto your hosepipe storage device, allow a little time and a large chunk of humour.I bought this to replace a hosepipe that keeps haemorrhaging at its joins. This new one looks much tougher in its cross section. One would hope so, being Hozelock's flagship pipe. I've tested it under my very high water pressure and so far, so good. Will report back if problems develop under sustained use.

This hose come with a large hole "blister" right out of the box. The overall quality is very poor in general also. I emailed support address of the Hozelock UK Head Office but they do not reply, so i assume they feel that selling hoses with obvious defects to customers is fair - you be the judge.

I use a hose to fill a water bowser across a country road, in the past I bought a length of cheap hose that would last me about 3 times before splitting due to cars running over it.This hose is described as anti crush, so I thought it was worth try to save keep changing the length of hose that runs across the road..Unfortunately it doesn't last any longer than a cheap hose, only lasting 3 times splitting on the 3rd use. So back to cheap hoses for me.Ultimate quality it is not.

Very good product. I am extremely pleased with this hose. It is soft, easy to handle, and after just a day is lying straight. Without a doubt this is the best hose I have ever owned and as I'm 87 years old that's a lot of hoses I've had in a lifetime with plenty of gardening. I don't know about the rest of the Hozelock range but the 'Ultimate' is well-worth buying. Nice also, because of its' very long guarantee, I have something useful to leave for my heirs!
