Bought a second I was so pleased with first - updated 14th August 2019
Update - 14th August 2019. I use the device to control some RF security devices, remotely. That is when I am not at home and via the internet. About a month ago one of the two broadlink devices suddenly stopped sending RF commands to my various things. It was still sending Infra Red, just not RF. I tried everything including deleting the device and reinstalling, trying to get it to relearn and so on. But it would not work.As it would not learn the RF codes and the first symptom was it was not sending RF codes, I believe the RF module of the device just packed up. I tried the Broadlink support and they were useless. Fortunately, the seller (Energy) was not. They immediately agreed to send a replacement even though it was outside the usual return period. I now have a new device and it works perfectly. I just hope it stays that way as these devices can help a lot with home automation. The other one that I bought has so far been faultless, so hopefully I was just unlucky with the first one.Previous review.........................Okay, I know you may be wondering why you need two of these. I have two homes and was so pleased with the way it worked that I decided to get one for each house. A week or so since first purchase I am still impressed with what I can do with it and the integration with Alexa.....................First review below....I had read other reviews which were mixed. I wasn't sure this would work but decided to give it a go. Well, it does exactly what I wanted it to. Based on the other reviews I wasn't expecting it to work with Alexa, but it does. What I needed to be able to do was raise and lower some blinds. Sounds simple but I have 5 blinds and the remote also has a function to operate all at the same time. The functions are simple up, down and stop for each blind.I unboxed the hub and plugged it in. I then downloaded the android IHC for EU (I chose EU as some reviews said the alexa integration only worked in Europe). Then I followed the instructions in the APP, discovered the device (making sure I was using the 2.4ghz network). The hub seemed to do some updating whilst I was adding devices and this messed things up a bit. I then decided to rename the hub and when I did, I seemed to lose all the set up I had already done. But hey ho, there is no manual, so it was all a bit trial and error. As I wanted to control the blinds I was not able to select a 'known' device or brand from the list in the APP and had to get the hub to learn all the codes for each blind (I used the APP device option of curtain which provides 3 buttons to learn). I have 5 blinds so I had to get it to learn 5 (curtains) blinds x3 buttons each plus all blinds x3 buttons. Occasionally the hub failed to learn a button but with a bit of perseverance I managed to get everything learnt. So now, on my phone using the IHC for EU I was able to do everything the original remote could. That achieved my objective as I wanted to be able to control the blinds from anywhere. Then I thought about Alexa. Other reviews said it would not work, but, what the hell, I thought. Let's try.Looked at Alexa app and it didn't seem to know anything about the hub and could not 'discover' it. Then I went to skills in Alexa and searched for IHC and found Alexa has a skill for IHC for EU. Added this and entered account details when requested. Then, shazam. In Alexa, I had all the blinds I had set up in the Broadlink hub, plus the x2 scenes I had done in the hub. A quick test and whoa, all I have to do is ask Alexa and she will raise and lower my blinds for me.I am really happy with it all working and for £30, it is very good value for money.

Misleading product advertising! Buy a brick instead...it has far more use. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
Without doubt this device has the potential to be a fantastic product but due to the ridiculous limitations imposed by the latest firmware (presumably by BroadLink themselves), makes it about as useful as a brick...actually I take that back as at least you can construct things with bricks, or even throw them through windows.I purchased this with the sole intention of being able to control all my IR and RF devices with an Amazon Echo Dot, yet I quickly discovered that the only devices now designed to communicate between the BroadLink RM Pro+ and Alexa are those included in the list of Television remotes (see divine list below).Unfortunately it was only after making this purchase that then then discovered that a guy on YouTube named Paul Hibbert, who has been complaining to and partitioning BroadLink about this issue for some time. Apparently much older models gave all the flexibility you could want or expect, but Broadlink in their infinite wisdom have intentionally withdrawn this functionality making all the new models all but useless...unless you simply want to control all your devices with your smart phone or tablet.Paul’s workround for this is to use a difference preset TV remote for each device, changing the name of the remote and then individually programming various buttons to achieve the desired effect. In reality even this is far from straight forward, being flakey and unreliable at best. What makes this technique even more ridiculous is that much of the button functionality you need for devices such as fans, stereos, amplifiers etc., have no resemblance to those found on TV remotes. Even those listed under other types such as “fans” and “amplifiers” (which don’t work with Alexa have very strange and unfamiliar names. Yes with a bit of work you can get some things working by Chosing a TV remote, but you have to end up using ridiculous commands. An simple example of this is that when equipment uses a toggle On/Off then this can work, however if a device needs separate buttons for On/Off then you have to chose some other obscure and non relevant function button for “Off” such as “Mute”. This type of ludicrous command system is likely to make controlling all you devices confusing at best, but totally impossible for others in your household. The full list of devices that BroadLink show during setup of a device is as follows:TV (The only catagory that appears to actually work with Alexa)Air ConditionerSet Top BoxLampCustomisedTCCurtainFanProjectorOTTDVDAmplifierAudioAir PurifierCameraHeaterDoorSweeping RobotHumidifierClothes HangerAn impressive list indeed, but so far throughout all my attempts to set my various bits of kit, Paul Hibbert is absolutely correct that the only items even capable of communicating with Alexa are those listed in TV remotes...and many of those do not work correctly. The listing clearly states that this controller is compatible with Alexa, but this is a false and misleading statement. It should state that it has very limited functionality with Alexa, so being 100% honest myself I would not recommend this product to anyone until BroadLink sort this ridiculous mess out. If it means them collaborating with Amazon then they should do this ASAP. Paying this much for an electronic devise that is incapable of working as described is outrageous!

Con telecomando RF non funziona
Come al solito consegna entro i tempi stabiliti, imballaggio perfetto, con telecomando IR funziona perfettamente, x telecomando RF non riesce a memorizzare il segnale e quindi a funzionare. Rimandato indietro.
