I was excited to get a large griddle. We have for years cooked 4 tortillas in a round pan with 30% over the edge having to constantly rotate them onto the cook surface. With the griddle we were looking forward to have a large cooking surface. We assumed "Pre-seasoned" meant ready to use. Boy were we wrong. Read on for our observations when using the griddleTHE BAD: -- NOT PRE-SEASONED. I thought it came ready to use....NOT. When reading the instructions on the packaging they recommend 5 seasonings. To season wash, dry, coat with vegetable oil, heat at 450F for 1 hour, let cool and repeat 4 more times and oh by the way put the fire department on speed dial. The manufactures says they put 1 seasoning coat on at the factory and its up to you to do 5 more.. -- TURNOFF SMOKE DETECTORS WHEN SEASONING: Baking the oil coated griddle at 450F oil results in a lot of smoke! I ended up opening all the windows and bring a fan into the kitchen to get the smoke out! -- SMALLISH COOK SURFACE: My goals was to be able to cook 4ea 6" tortillas at the same time but it cant be done, at least with all 4 completely on the cooking surface. Only 3ea 6" tortillas will fit on the surface.THE GOOD: -- GOOD FIT: It sat securely on the gas burner grates. -- HEATED QUICKLY: I thought it would take much longer to reach a cooking heat but it was pretty quick with 2 gas burners going. -- EVEN HEAT: Even with 2 different size burners the heat was very even across the cooking surface. This probably due to the mass of iron making of the griddle. -- TROUGH TO CATCH GREASE: The trough around the edge is great to catch excess grease. Its on both sides. -- The handles could have been insulated which would be a convenience to make small placement adjustments after its on the burners.CONCLUSION: Ill keep researching for something a bit larger, but if this griddle is large enough for you and you are ok with the hassle of seasonings and caring for the iron then this griddle is fine.

Great option if you don’t wanna light up your grill • easy to clean • easy to handle • easy to use. After every use I make sure to season it all so the grilled has a longer life.

check the distance between burner elements as my griddle didn't quite go over both burners. I have an older (15 year) stove. Anyways, it's a good product and I will probably use it for camping or maybe another stove that fits.
