ZodiacGenuine Parts R-Kit, Diaphragm, X73010

I have not used these yet. I have them as standby so when the one in the machine goes, I don't have to rush for a new one.

This part replaced a quick connector that melted/disintegrated on our Zodiac Pool Vacuum Cleaner. I was glad that we found the actual replacement part we needed.

Came quickly but turned Grey after a day or so in the pool

I have bought several of these and have had no issues. I have grandkids who throw toys in the pool and that will tear them if it sucks them up. 1st time I bought from the pool store and they were much more expensive so when it happened again I bought from Amazon for a much lower price I’ve had no problems with them stopping unless they tore from a toy stuck inside. I bought my t5 used and it’s been 3 years and I’ve replaced the back disk 2xs and the front disk once. It’s been great if I had to pay full price I would buy the mx6 or 8.

So far, after about 3 weeks, I am quite disappointed. During installation, which is clear and easy, I followed all directions from internet help and Zodiac manual, but when I turned on the pump again it moved and did somewhat what it is meant to do, but it was, still is, weak and slow compared to the original which was over two years old. I've double checked settings, check the flow rate, adjusted the in-line valves of the PVC system, and still cannot get it to function well. It won't "climb" the slanted surface to get to the shallow end. I purchased two as the two were less expensive per diaphragm rather than later have to order another. I am at the point where I don't know where to go from here, or what to do about the situation.

Great value, fits my pool cleaner perfect and performs as it should.

I do pool maintenance for a living, and I have had to replace this part 4 times in the last year. The rubber does not hold up for long and eventually tears in the middle, rendering your sweep useless. The pool has a variable speed pump which I only run at 2000 rpm at its highest due to trying to keep this rubber piece from splitting, but it always does eventually—usually within a few weeks. Not sure if this thing just can’t withstand picking up harder debris (small pebbles, small sticks, etc.) but it SHOULD because that’s the whole point of having a sweep. Would love to see Zodiac improve the design and structural integrity of this part.
