No feathering even on cheap absorbent copy paper. As with all India inks, DO NOT USE IN FOUNTAIN PENS, it WILL clog. This ink is made for dip pens. My only complaint would be that due to the nature of this ink and the bottle, the lid can sometimes be very hard to open. It can also leak a lot. So be sure to keep it upright and try not to leave the lid area wet with ink. Can take quite some time to dry. I've found this ink to be very dark, slightly darker than sumi ink. Review: Absolutely amazing ink for copperplate calligraphy. It offers an appropriate amount of viscosity and is thicker than other inks. It's thick, so quite a bit sticks to the nib and frequent dipping is not needed. The ink wrote consistently in one level of thickness, rather than the lines becoming thin very fast.
