How is the seat secured? The one we have has a screw lock on each side to tighten to the bowl.

The seat is not that secure. It has a small plastic ring that goes into the bowl and the rest depends on luck. We bought another from a medical supply store much like the one you describe. with screw locks. This seat DOES NOT have screw locks.

Will this work for elongated and standard seats?

It does state that it will work for both standard and elongated seats.

Let them know you need a return label for UPS. Usually ups driver will bring the label with them the next business day and will put return label on and take return item away.
