I am a longtime crocheter. I have many hooks. I needed a replacement for a size I use often, 4.5mm. I’ve been a fan of Susan Bates bamboo-handled hooks for years, but sometimes the hook becomes detached from the base, and I’ve had little luck glueing them back in and getting them to stay intact.I wondered if there was a better, more ergonomically-designed hook that would stand up to my frequent use. I saw this Tulip hook and read the reviews. I was taken aback by the price but thought I’d try it and return it if I didn’t like it. I will not be returning this hook - in fact, I will get more in different sizes.The hook’s head is narrowed for easy stitch placement without the sharp edges I’ve had to file down on other hooks. The design of the handle is perfect - it makes the stitch flow easier and faster, with neater results. I hope the hooks don’t loosen from the base over time.If you crochet as much as I do (year-round), consider these hooks a good investment in your craft.

The Tulip doesn’t glide as well as the Amour does. The Tulip also seems to catch the yarn or split the yarn while using the same yarn and an Armour hook doesn’t have these issues. I bought a 4.5 Tulip as it seems to be my go-to size and I used it exclusively for a week. My hand was cramping and my wrist ached. Sorry, Tulip. You simply aren’t the hook for me. The pink is really pretty!

Was kann man zu TULIP sagen ?Einfach wunderbare Häkelnadeln .. ich liebe diese, auch wenn diese etwas mehr kosten.Doch hier spürt man sofort was man für sein Geld bekommt, denn diese sind wirklich schön glatt und sauber gearbeitet und man kann sofort loslegen, ohne das ich die Nadel erst einmal glatt häkeln muss.Tolles Handhabung - die Vertiefung - liegt super in der Hand und man kann wahrlich stundenlang ohne Ermüdung oder Schmerzen arbeiten.Nadeln für ca. 3-5 € tun es auch - keine Frage, damit habe ich am Anfang nur gehäkelt, doch mit der Zeit spürt man die Nachteile und dann investiert man einmal etwas mehr Geld in sein Handarbeits-Zeug und wird belohnt und ist begeistert.Ich bin begeistert von meinen Tulip Nadeln und möchte diese nicht mehr missen!Ich werde mir nach und nach alle Größen kaufen und freue mich schon heute darauf.Den Shop hier kann ich nur wärmstens empfehlen. Die Lieferung ist ausserordentlich schnell und alles ist immer heile und richtig angekommen. Alles Bestens - immer wieder *****Danke schön.
