I found out about this from a hair stylist. This was great for my cheer team to help hold down their hair. Water soluble, so it was easy to wash out. This is THICK. Put it on wet/damp hair. Works great with all hair types. I have put it on dry hair also, and it was easy to comb through before it dried.Hold is great!

Strong all day/night hold to achieve any desired style, yet can rework styling with spritz of water, doesn’t flake, smells great and is water soluble so it washes completely out easily. A little product goes a long way. I prefer this gel product over any high dollar salon/barber brand product I’ve used for boys and men’s hair styling or short women’s styles too.

If you have coarse wavy hair that you want to “cement” into place, this hair gel works great. What I like most is that it dries hard, and I mean hard. I can walk into a tornado and my hair will stay battened down. Best of all, it’s inexpensive. A tin of good pomade costs upwards of $10 dollars (yes I know, I’m cheap…🤪) and I this fits my need. Only the thickest gel works on my wavy hair to straighten it out and stay straight and battened down. Lesser gels, my hair will overcome the weak hold or stick and I’ll get unorganized hair, which sets off my OCD, hah! This keeps one’s hair down; if you want to go up, at least for my hair, this works slightly. Overall, a good gel.

While it is a 10-hold, it’s so super-sticky and dries so quickly that, unless diluted with a bit of water, it’s more difficult to spread and separate clumps of hair into spikes — though it holds GREAT! I also prefer a bit of a shine in my hair gels and the YELLOW yields more of a matte finish. The gel is pale yellow in color and it has a subtle, fresh, pleasant, yet hard-to-describe scent that also doesn’t linger.👍🏻 OLD FORMULA (original GREEN bottle): Out of all of the various types of Gorilla Snot Gels, this is one of my favorites due to its ease of use, sheen and scent. The smell is not offensive/doesn’t linger. The hold level is a 7, but I find it holds my short, spiky hair well throughout the day. The spikes stay clumped together but aren’t so hard that you’d accidentally poke someone’s eye out during a hug. Compared to the other RED, BLUE and YELLOW bottles — which have higher levels of hold — this works almost as well. I just ordered a 3-pack replacement of it and…(see below).👎🏻 The BLUE bottle (10-hold) holds great. The gel is a whitish/clear color. However, I CANNOT STAND the lingering, gag-inducing mint smell. (Will be passed-on to someone else.)👍🏻 The RED bottle (9-hold) is my second-favorite. It holds very well, seems to take a bit longer to dry/set than the YELLOW, but is easier to work with and has a somewhat glossy finish. To achieve hard, dangerous spikes, more is required but can weigh hair down and hamper its effect. It is a light-pinkish color and has a mild, cherry scent. I just ordered a 3-pack replacement of it as well and…(see below).👎🏻 I’d tried the PURPLE bottle but HATED THE SCENT of that one and gave it to a nephew; I don’t 100% recall its aroma — possibly either sickeningly-sweet-smelling or minty. Either of those in a hair gel would repulse me.〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️So, about this 3-pack of the GREEN bottles I just received (the UPDATED PACKAGING/FORMULA): Surprisingly, they survived being shipped via USPS, in a bubble-mailer, with NO tape to keep the lids down, nor inner baggie to catch any possible spillage. The labeling is different and the Web only indicates ‘new packaging’; but, THAT is a lie! [The gel USED to be a light green color; it is now blue. (See pics). It USED to have a lighter, citrusy smell…now it’s more musky. The hold and sheen appear to have remained the same]. I’m NOT happy with this new scent, I don’t much care what the bottle LOOKS like, yet I AM satisfied with its comparable performance to the original version.So, about this 3-pack of the RED bottles I just received (the UPDATED PACKAGING/FORMULA): They arrived in a sealed bag, inside of an Amazon box…no leaks/spillage/damage. The labeling is different and the Web only indicates ‘new packaging’; but, that’s ALSO a lie! [The gel USED to be a pale pink color; it is now red. (See pics). It USED to have a cherry smell…now it smells of fermented strawberries and pineapple. The hold and sheen appear to have remained the same as well]. The price is so much better than what I had been using — SEXY HAIR’s HARD UP GEL (which is so expensive lately that it’s been relegated to special occasions, NOT for my every day usage). These gels truly last all day and ARE reactivatable with damp hands. The various hold-levels and sheens offered can accommodate hair-styling options for many hair types and personal preferences. All of the snots take seemingly forever to wash off of hands after using; easily shampooed out of hair, though.Along with tequila, another fine product from Mexico!However, like tequila, why mess with/change something that’s already great?!C’mon Natturalabs!

So if you're ever looking for some gel for those edges throw them all away get you some of this it holds so well even if you sweat it does exactly what it says I have all that gel in my closet and none of it works it doesn't last long but this last until you wash it out
