This is another instance where I needed something and couldn't find in stores, so Amazon was my go to resource and I found what I needed.I love this wire. Great to work with. The service was top notch and received my order promptly.

Quality solid brass wire makes for a good choice when making jewelry - it will develop a patina ifit's not sealed with a clear coat, but it won't stain like copper. It's also a stiffer metal thancopper/aluminum and will retain a shape better.

Good quality wire for jewelry making

The wire is Ok if what you really want is 18ga brass wire. Hillman is now passing off 18ga as 16ga wire. I have been using the Hillman 16ga brass wire for a long time and just now ran out and am so dissapointed in the replacement. I use 16ga sterling silver wire also so I have a comparrison. The Hillman is thinner. The new packaging is a clue to what you will get. New packaging =18ga.

My wife uses this wire to make wire wrapped jewelry. She has found it to be durable, easy to work with, as well as cost effective.

Would liked to be able to get it in larger rolls
