Great option for beaders
I do a lot of beaded jewelery projects, including those involving bead-weaving, and use both Fireline and Wildfire 6-lb. test for their strength; however, the limited choice of colors in the single-color spools (basically, black/ smoke grey and crystal Fireline, and black, "frost" (white) and green Wildfire) often leaves me with no great choice when using certain colors of transparent beads (e.g., reds, yellows, some light blues) or when using beading techniques, such as right-angle weave or cubic right-angle weave, that will have the thread showing on the edges. (With some transparent beads, using white or crystal isn't a good option when you are making multiple passes of the thread through the beads. And although I may use other types of thread, such as Nymo, which comes in many colors, it isn't a good choice when working with beads that may have sharp edges, such as Swarovski crystals.). The colors on this spool are a medium blue (maybe close to a royal blue), lemon yellow, red, "green" (really a teal), and orange. I bought this product to see whether the colors would work in the kind of situations I mentioned above. For example, I ran the thread through some Swarovski crystals in colors such as Light Siam (a red) and Fireopal (orange-and-red), and could see how the thread colors disappear when using the red or orange segments, respectively, of this Fireline. Although I haven't yet used this product in a piece of beaded jewelry -- it just arrived yesterday-- I did a test using right-angle weave with some transparent aquamarine AB Czech fire-polished beads. I made one right-angle weave unit, with two passes of thread through the beads (as would be needed if connecting to another right-angle unit) using three different threads: crystal Fireline, green Wildfire, and the "green" (teal) segment of this multi-colored Fireline. All of the threads are 0.15mm. The photos show that the teal color is the least visible, especially at the edges (corners of the right-angle units). The first photo, taken from above, shows, from left to right, units made with crystal Fireline, green Wildfire, and the teal segment of this product. The other three photos show what the thread looks like on the corners of the units -- you can see that the crystal Fireline (2nd photo) and the green Wildfire (3rd photo) are quite visible, while the the teal segment of this Fireline (4th photo) virtually disappears against the beads. I didn't bother doing a sample with black Widlfire or Fireline. Since the color segments are 10 feet long, I think the length is useful for many beading projects. Even when I make jewelry that requires many, many feet of thread, I usually will add thread several times, as using one continuous length is often impractical (extra time spent pulling the thread through the beadwork; tangles and knots), so I don't expect the length to be a problem. The only downside that I see is having to cut out the color segments that you want for a project, if you need more than 10 feet, and then having a number of lengths of thread with the colors that you're not currently using. It will probably make sense to use some empty spools to hold the segments not in use.

It works! Handy to have the incremental color changes
Bought the 10lb test. Great deal with the rebate. Spooled this up on two new rods and reels we have used fairly heavily for past three months. Line does fade as others have mentioned. It is a great concept and is handy to be able to see the 5' increments. Can use it like a line counter if you are paying the line out when trolling. This weekend we did have an issue where the line seemed to separate and some strands frayed and created a rat's nest. Had to cut and re-tie. This happened about 20' from the end so it was a very heavily used section (has been abused by hundreds of casts and dozens of fish, as well as Canadian Shield rocks). No big deal to cut off and re-tie. Will just watch in future for signs of fraying and re-tie sooner. I would buy again but will probably go with the high-vis green color unless I specifically need the ability to count the line distance. Fireline has come a long way since I first tried it 15 years ago. This year was the first time I have used it for 12-15 years.

Nice long spool of fire line
This Fire line is wonderful. The right size and strength for my use and I love that it comes in a 125 yard spool. Definitely recommend.

Best for bead weaving!
This is my 'go too' for beading thread! I have used several different brands of beading thread over the years, and NOTHING out there beats fireline! This stuff is durable and very sturdy, 6lb works best for bead weaving with 4mm beads and seed beads, if you're using larger beads, you may want to go with the 8lb fireline... Buy it if you are a bead weaver, you won't regret it! I love this stuff, it's my all time fave!

Use it for beading
TL;DR Great for bead work. Myuki Delicas fit & line glides smoothly through. May need to add wax every once in awhile. I find this to be a better value then buying specific beading thread. This Fire line is very strong. I’m able to Peyote stitch with it, or even other weaving that’s putting a lot of stress on the line. Every now and again I add wax so it won’t have the chance to fray. This line becomes almost invisible when in use. So great coloring there. It’s thin enough that Miyuki Delica fit & glides smoothly.

Parfait pour faire des bracelets et des bagues de perles (beads), plus solides que le “braided bead thread”…
