Review: Solid versatile knife! A hunters must have! - I have the Rat-5 and want the Rat-3. I bought this one for a buddy and it fits better in the hand (subjective). The weight and length of this blade is great for skinning animals if you're a hunter. My Rat-5 skinned an adult moose no problem not needing a sharpening like my Gerber 3" blade 3 years prior. The Rat-5 is better for making kindling in the bush but that's really it. I love this blade for the light weight and length of blade for fine work. Worth every penny.... the sheath is horrible so I made my own!

A: It's nylon fabric with a plastic sheath inside to protect the nylon.

A: Listed as 1095 carbon steel

**Q: Is this a full tang knife?**
A: Yea it is.

**Q: Why is it saying this-blade material: 1095 carbon steel when it is not true?**
A: I don't know exactly how to answer your question. I checked other places (bladehq, ebay, etc.) and get mixed answers. Most say 1095 and some say 1075. Not sure which is correct. Either way, I really like mine and don't think there is a huge difference either way. I do recommend this knife. Hope this helps in some small way.
