Viking Books for Young Readers Each Peach Pear Plum board

Wish I had seen the comments before placing an order for 3 of these, on opening the package I was stunned, speechless... and angry because the description didn't indicate this was a tiny book. Utterly useless for intended purpose. The last time I owned this book it was a proper sized story book, now I need to order 3 of the proper size if available and hope by some miracle they arrive before Christmas.

The only reason I mark this down is because of it's size. I would not have ordered it had I known.It is not very often I buy books on-line - usually kindle books for me to read - but I wanted some special books for presents at Christmas. This one looked perfect - however - my fault - I hadn't noticed that it was a 'pocket' version of the book and if I had I would not have appreciated just what size exactly 'pocket' is. This book is soooo tiny that I nearly threw it away with the packaging. In a book where you are looking for objects, such a tiny version seems strange. I certainly didn't think I would possibly be using a magnifying glass!I really hope that this doesn't spoil reading the book with my grandchildren - because the book and pictures looked lovely on the preview on Amazon.

I really should read the description of a product better. Was a bit of a shock when this arrived as I was expecting a full sized book and it isn’t. I went back to the order after receiving this as I thought I’d checked the wrong one but they only offer it in a download format, board book or this one-pocket book. I bought it for my impending 1st grandchild as it was a favourite of my daughters as a child. I decided to keep it as it will be good for travelling.

Easily one of the best books ever written for small children! My 3 year old loves it! I got this book as she was not interested in reading and I wanted to incorporate a book into her bedtimes. It is somewhat interactive as the reader has to 'spy' the next character as the book progresses. The pictures are lovely with lots of detail. There is a wicked witch but all the characters end up eating plum pie together, so it exciting but not frightening.I will often now find my little girl reciting the words to herself! It is a firm favourite.

Wold recommend this item. Loved this book as very good in the way it keeps a child occupied in looking for the different characters, which are all based on famous bedtime stories. Some are more difficult to find than others so I ask if they want me to help. It is also good for talking about the pictures with young children as you can ask them if they can see things like a tree or a bear etc. In general It is a good interactive book for learning. Would buy from this seller again as arrived on time and in good condition. I recommend this seller.
