Do you like fabric? wallpaper? but don't know how to get all that you want and not look like a bomb exploded? Kit Kemp is for you. Gorgeous interiors that scream color without causing a seizure. I love her style. It's noticeable. I want people to come in my house and wonder why they feel happy - ask Kit Kemp. Her style of layering pattern, color, collectibles all work.

As a mixed media artist, I like to look beyond my own art form for inspiration. Books about contemporary art quilts, or even History of Costume will ignite my own ideas and give me a jumpstart. But, once in a while, a home décor book will make me absolutely salivate. This book is a perfect example. Ms. Kemp specializes in the kind of design approach (whether interiors or products) that seems to say: "I am passionate about this. I fell in love with it, and I want YOU to enjoy it also". Her color choices, her recognition of ethnic artifacts, her eclecticism and her spot-on-totally-original choices are so appealing. Almost every spread in this book provided a flashpoint of inspiration. A close-up of a fascinating textile, an amazing juxtaposition of unusual colors, unexpected offbeat materials, a very modern flair for folk art, etc. This book excited my eyes, and touched my heart. Originality PLUS.

Not as good as I expected. Colorful pics, but ideas too fussy for me. The author/designer is nto thos style…I prefer a more simple clean look. Author talented if u like busy.

This is a great book for those in love with Kit Kemp’s wonderful, colorful, eclectic design. You’ll feel inspired every time you look at it and you can dream about your next visit to one of the magical hotels.

Loving everything Kit Kemp does with style and color. We need it more than ever since we never leave home.

Beautiful book of amazing design, as expected, but there seems to be a big oversight/mistake right at the beginning of the book. The chapter "Intelligent Thread" has several pages repeated and at one point the pages jump from 63 back to 49,50,51.....and photos and text are duplicated. I love Kit Kemp's work and am guessing she needs to have a chat with whoever did the final edit of her lovely book!

Kit Kemp’s books are some of the most-loved on my bookshelf. What a delightful and inspired designer. Her room details make me happy. I am becoming more inspired with my home interiors because of her.

Wild Combinations!

Colourful, interesting, versatile style of decorating. Almost all images give sources for materials and pictures which is helpful. Although most of the work illustrated are hotel schemes, by looking at the images carefully and reading the text, it is possible to discern strategies and ideas that are applicable on the domestic scale.

I love Kit Kemp as a designer and this book didn't disappoint. It's one I am proud to display on my coffee table and one which has attracted much attention from visitors. The photography is utterly beautiful and the accompanying copy interesting and enlightening.

Just love it.

A beautiful book with gorgeous images, but disappointing because it's mostly hotels and I was expecting more domestic interiors.

Bought for a friend, who loves Kit Kemp's styles and has been fortunate enough to stay in some of her hotels.
