Before I say why this is an incredible car mount, I need to inform people of the reason for the negative reviews. It is because people refuse to read. That's it. They just ignored the power requirements for this charger. Most USB ports in cars only support 5w output and this thing (as most wireless chargers do) needs more power. All you need to do is purchase a cigarette power adapter with USB quickcharge 3.0 support. Just look for QC 3.0 car chargers and you will be set. It does say this in the product page but it appears people miss it or just don't understand how it works.Alright, now that we have that out of the way, this mount is incredible. You definitely need to pair it with their cases and while I understand this is a costly venture, it is well worth it. First, I have never had a magnetic vent mount that can stay in place longer than two seconds before adjusting it and praying it stays again. This thing is solid as a rock! It does not move and is so incredibly tight on the vent that I never worry about it moving. The fact that the magnets in the case align with the magnets on the mount make it almost like a suction mechanism when your phone gets close. You don't need to line anything up, it just snaps in perfectly.Ignore the bad reviews about it not charging and just buy the correct adapter to make it work. I promise you will not regret it. One of a kind product.

I absolutely love Pitaka products. This is just one of the products I have purchased in the last few months. I absolutely love their styling and design features. This car charger provides quick charging with a strong magnetic hold for your Pitaka case (previously purchased and absolutely love). My phone stays put and the design looks great in my car. The added feature of having a built-in fan is great too. No more worrying about how hot the charge is getting like I always did with cheaper car chargers. This charge has a built-in fan that keeps the entire unit at a reasonable temperature. It takes a lot for me to write a stellar review for a product (I just don't always think of it), but Pitaka deserves a great review. They make some of the best products on the market.

I've read a review on this prior to buying, someone said to get qc3.0 charger in order for fast charging to work... so ok I've threw in a charger for 13$, it started with a case, "aramid fiber case" which I'm pretty satisfied with but why did you have to advertise this product with that case if it wouldn't even work?It said to be compatible with that case and iPhone 11 pro max, it blinked charging once and then stopped and never would charge the phone, I mean it would not work without case or with it, plugged in into "qc 3.0 charger" that would presumably work with it. Let alone the magnets in the case weren't there, so my phone wouldn't stay attached, magnets slightly got attached to the battery of my phone and I could see it working only if my case had so called advertised magnet plates built into them. So considering all things above, I didn't receive features that were advertised and that product was completely useless to me especially at 60$ price tag, I've returned it same day I got it.

I love the mount but I feel it could be shorter to eliminate some vibration when the phone is on it. The adhesion is excellent. Another problem is that the vents on my vehicle are not as thick as others so installing using the vents is not an option for me. I have a 2012 Toyota Tundra. Installing on my wife’s car was no problem. The vents are thicker. Her vehicle is a 2017 Toyota Camry.Charging the iPhone 12 is no problem and the magnet is strong

This is what I've been dreaming of. This should be the standard solution incorporated into all new phones.The system is not cheap but the convenience is unparalleled. I get in my car and slide the phone down until the magnet "catches" it at the perfect location. Grab and go when I leave. Get to my desk and slap it right on a conventional wireless charger with no fuss. The only downside is the slim case doesn't offer much protection. That said I've dropped my phone from small distances on several occasions and the case holds up and stays on marvelously.
