I read over some of the answered questions for this product. Some of them stated it is "True to size" and "breathable". It is neither of these. I normally wear a 3XL so I ordered this as a 4XL so it would be loose. It is NOT. Also, I cannot raise my arms and move them around in certain ways because it is too tight. 4XL...…..Not a chance. Some of the "previous buyers" stated this rain jacket is "breathable". It IS NOT. I will not wear this in warm weather ever. Now, that being said, it does appear to be made well and will make a good rain jacket during cooler months so I did give it a couple of stars.

I purposely bought this 2 sizes larger for my 6'2" son in the hopes that he can wear it over his clothes with a hoodie or light jacket. He can do that but it's snug. What we didn't expect was how thick the material is. It's a much better quality than expected. We really just wanted something to keep him dry from the building to the car. I put fit as expected because he's a little on the heavy side so he wanted it to be loose. If you are skinny or average weight you could order your regular size and it would fit over normal shirt/clothing but probably not several layers. For $15 it's a much better deal than my thin $60 rain jacket.

I was looking for a raincoat to be a step up from a cheap plastic poncho, and be something that would have pockets and be a bit more workable for around the farm. Too many times in summer it has been hot out but pouring while I need to get the horses fed. But when I went searching for rain coats, many of them were made for colder temperatures, and might be heavy or bulky. This fit the bill as still being a kind of light plastic, but with some built in vents for breathability, and pockets for gear I need to carry. I don't expect it to last more than a couple of seasons the way I use it, but for the price I will be good with that.

This is so comfortable and is well-made! I cannot believe just how well it protects me from the rain without overheating me as many, if not most, rain jackets do. Yes, the zipper is different from most, as it zips from the opposite side; however, it is not that big of a deal. The hood can be hidden or used, which is another nice feature. I highly recommend this.I got the 4X as I am a female with broad shoulders, large chest, tall at 5'8.5", and weight 260. It goes below my waist and has enough room that if needed, I can wear a medium weight long sleeve underneath.
