I was searching for a pet brush that was better for removing dog hair. I've used rubber grooming brushes in the past. This one doessn't remove as much hair. Great price.

I received this dog brush from the manufacturer for free in exchange for a review of it. Bottom line, I am not overly impressed with it as a dog brush. I have to say, my dog that doesn't mind brushed seemed to really enjoy this brush. Although, it was more of a massage than a brushing. It seemed to displace a fair amount of hair, but the bristles only picked up a few strands. So, for a dog that doesn't mind being brushed, I would go with a brush that will collect a lot of hair. For dogs that hate being brushed, this might be a solution for you if you do it outside or somewhere where you can collect the dog hair from.So, where does it excel? As a dog hair removal tool from fabric! My Jeep seems to weave dog hair into the seats and carpeting worse than any other vehicle I have ever owned. A while ago I was told that a silicone horse brush is great for removing it. Well, sure enough, they do work great. This seems to work just as well and is now the dog hair remover for my jeep. All of the stuff that the vacuum doesn't get is brushed with this guy and it loosens into a pile! I have attached a picture of a small pile that I made in my jeep after about 15 seconds of running the brush over it.Anyway, this might work well on a dog with really long hair (golden) or a dog with really short hair, but it didn't work on my hound with medium length hair. You can almost guarantee it won't hurt your pup because it is fairly soft silicone, but don't expect it to pick up the hairs. It might actually work really well as a horse brush though!

I got this comb for my dog who is a not a big fan of combing. He thinks he is getting petted. I also used it during a bath to massage the shampoo to the scalp. It really helped to loosen up those mats that dogs get when they shed a lot. This is not a comb if your in a hurry to brush out your pet but it is very soothing to my pets. I even tried it on my cats and they did not run away.
