Perfect Adapter for Attaching a Hose to Shower
This worked perfectly. I was trying to use a pressure washer to clean the grout in my shower. (Hint: don't do it.) You'll end up ripping off pieces of grout like I did. This was a last ditch attempt at cleaning the grout before paying someone to come replace it. Anyways, my grout adventure failures have nothing to do with this 5 star adapter. It's well made and fit the threading perfectly on my normal, average showerhead threading.

Connect a garden hose to your shower arm
I needed to connect a garden hose to my shower arm, and this did the job perfectly. Easy to install, and no leaks with teflon tape.I really think they should market these things better for this purpose; they would sell more of them. The average homeowner might not want to spend the time to educate themselves on the difference between GHT and NPT. Why not clearly sell the product as a shower arm to garden hose adapter?By the way, if at the other end of your garden hose you want to transition back to a regular shower head for whatever reason, the part you need is here: Anderson Metals Brass Garden Hose Fitting, Connector, 3/4" Female Hose ID x 1/2" Male Pipe

Used to fix adapter for NewAge Products sink faucet to hose adapter.
Very niche adapter, but when you need something like this, you *really* need it.I have a NewAge Products garage sink and it includes a faucet adapter for a garden hose. Well, the problem is they didn't use GHT on the hose side and instead used NPT which prevented me from attaching any hoses (without spraying water everywhere, that is). This adapter worked great to fix that problem. You must still use some form of pipe dope/teflon tape to seal the female threads, but it otherwise worked as advertised.

Unusual use case
I managed to use one for a in-ground sprinkler ststem, I ordered a wrong sized batch of swing arms and it was time sensitive. Only one head has the part on it, but no leak and no flow difference.Metal in plastic is not a ideal situation but as I said no real issue other than threads trying to rethread the plastic before I could get it to start properly.

High Quality Fitting
I used this on my home made camp shower to hook the hose to the seaflow pump. Its good quality. You can see how I used it in the photograph. The pump came with 1/2 male threads on the out flow side and I twisted this on them and then it allowed me to connect a water hose to the pump. No leaks YAY!

Looking to connect garden hose to shower? Yes, this is the correct adapater
I'm not a plumber and it might work for a small percentage of pipes, but I'd venture to say 99% of the time this would be the product you need to connect your garden hose to the pipe you would use for your showerhead in the same manner as you connect the hose in your yard. This adapter will need some thread tape (not included), but this will do the trick for all those times you think "if only I could connect my garden hose to my shower.

Item is not as described-wrong male threads
Do not buy this fitting if you are trying to interface 1/2" NPT male to the female end of a garden hose. A garden hose has 11.5 threads per inch, while this fitting has 14 threads per inch. It is totally incompatible with a regular garden hose. The 1/2" female NPT threads are fine. Also, the fitting is poorly manufactured. There are chatter marks on the threads where the cutting tool must have vibrated (chattered) while the threads were being cut. Just poor quality machining. I found an alternative fitting on Amazon and I am sending this one back.
