These were for my son and he is thrilled. Fit perfectly, look good.

I believe these are fake. Have returned them. Son has worn them a hand full of times. Yesterday it started raining on his way home, all the dye had leaked through to his socks and feet. The black canvas has turned red!!

Had I, following in the footsteps of knights of olde, set out upon a quest to find the most uncomfortable shoes in the kingdom then my arduous journey o’er jagged mountain and through dismal cave may well be over.Cunningly designed with maximum discomfort in mind, these shoes manage to simultaneously chafe at varying spots on the feet while viciously pinching at others. A short walk to the beach was an essay in pain. Hardly a marvellous experience to say the least. Following said walk these were thrown in a cupboard to never again show their malevolent soles or acid tongues. Donating them to a charity shop would probably constitute an act of cruelty towards the next purchaser.

Firstly, contrary to some of the reviews, they're not fake (at least in my case). Wards are a cheap but official alternative to the classic Old Skool shoe and they do come with some drawbacks. They take a long time to bed in (especially at the heel), Vans website has some tips on how to wear-in your new shoes to fit more comfortably - so even they are aware of it when it comes to all their shoes. However, Wards seem to be particularly bad in this regard.If you have any concerns about how legit they are, make sure it says "Dispatched from and sold by Amazon". I've not had any issues with the dye running, as some have reported, so it's possible that the way this product page has being filled has changed over time and there were some dodgy third party retailers before, but Amazon at least are selling the real deal.I've been a long time purchaser of Vans (mainly Old Skool) and, if it wasn't for lockdown, I would normally have gone to the local Vans store to get new ones. However, these came pretty fast from Amazon, all things considered. Ordered on a Thursday and arrived the following Monday.I knocked the one star off because, being Wards, they just are not up to the same quality as Old Skools, and they are not as comfortable out of the box. They're fine though.

Probably really good as Vans are really good. But this product is yet another product from Amazon that should of been new. But they have been worn and have been re boxed still had dirt on the soles and the paper inside had been torn and just thrown back in.

I have been looking to get a pair of Vans for quite some time.The fit is slightly tight across the width. The sole is not a super soft like skechers, just like a normally trainer.Overall in comparison to a pari of puma sneaker the build is better but the comfort not so much for a sixty pound sneaker
