Nice Fan, good size and strong breeze
This little fan puts out a good amount of air, we have used it on the boat in both the DC outlet at the Helm, and by using a DC to AC converter which allows for regular outlet plugin. Even with the converter it works great, and our guests that need a bit more airflow on calm days have been happy or the below deck areas that don't have a DC plugin I can use the fan without issues. It really moves a decent amount of air for how small it is and although touching the blades when spinning gives you a "jolt" its more of a surprise than hurting at all.(which has been a fun joke on the boat, me telling people to be careful or it'll "bite" you..)

Great choince for sailboat cabin
My 28' sailboat cabin needed a fan that was a) sturdy, b) easy to install w/o wiring or mounting hassles, 3) wouldn't drain my batteries, and 3) compact yet able to move enough air. Since the boat has a cigarette lighter socket for 12V DC power, the Caframo fan met all these criteria. It also has the additional plus of finger-safe rubber blades. You'll probably have to use the screw-in mounting base and not the suction cup (both are included), but it's a perfect and relatively inexpensive solution for those 90 degree days at the slip.

Good air flow
This Caframo Ultimate 747 has really good airflow and uses less than 6 watts of power on the high setting! The downside is it's pretty loud, even on the low setting. Not dealbreaker loud, but not a nice, lull-me-to-sleep fan.

Well made & a great value.
Nice can that moves a lot of air. Very quiet and easy to mount anywhere. Inside or out at the nav station.

The best there is
I have bought Caframo fans many times over the years - for every boat we have ever owned. They are fabulous - a perfect personal fan, utterly quiet, with a tiny power draw. We put them everywhere, and generally leave them running day and night. Don't bother with other brands, thinking these are expensive - Caframos are superior to anything else available.

Suction cup hard
This is a great little fan and moves a good amount of air in a small space. Suction cup is quite stiff and hard to push down to get a good stick. It will however stand up on it’s own if on a flat level surface.

Good looking, good airflow, bad vibration
I have it mounted upsidedown to the ceiling, and on high speed it has a bad vibration and noise. Wrapped a single piece of duct tape, or gaffer tape, around the insert part and fixed the vibration. Now usable. This needs to be remedied. Also, it has developed a squeel after a couple weeks of use. Maybe just my unit, but some bad sound qualities.

Came Broken
As soon at I plugged it in it randomly stopped itself and produced an electrical burning smell. After a bit more investigation I discovered that if the cord was wiggled it would turn on and off so there was a bad wiring connection from the factory. I had planned on replacing all of my SeaChoice fans with these and now I'm so glad that I tried one out before buying 15 of them. I will try to return this and give this model one more chance. Will update after exchange.

Cumpriu o proposto.
O ventilador é um pouco mais ruidoso do que esperava, mas ainda assim estou muito satisfeito com a compra. Ele entrega bastante vento com baixíssima corrente.

Packs a real punch
Bought this for a hot boat. It is so much more powerful than I was expecting. It feels like I've got a 12inch mains fan working for me. I was expecting some air movement, but it is so powerful that when I'm sitting working I put it onto the slower setting, which is fine for what I want.I've used it at night, the slower setting works great and is very quiet. The fast setting is noisier, but only what you'd expect from a fan.I had a go at putting my hand into the blades, and the fan stopped with no issue, My fingers were unhurt! I now see why they say it is safe without a guard. Because of having no guard the whole unit is quite compact, which suits the situation on my boat.I am very, very pleased with this and will buy another one or two. Yes it is more expensive than some models, but the unit feels very solid and well made, I am happy to pay the extra.

Best fan for a boat
Pros: Low amps, easy install, moves lots of air.Cons: could be a little quieter, but not so negative to stop me from buying four!!

Great little fan
We use two of those fans in our camper converted minivan, they are great, they move a lot of air for their size even on low speed and their current draw is minimal at 0.28 amp/hour on low speed and 0.4 amp/hour on high, great product made in Canada by a canadian company.
