Philomel Books Alex Rider: Secret Weapon: Seven Untold Adventures from the Life of a Teenaged Spy

I loved the Alex Rider series growing up, so I was excited to get this. As I'm reading through it, I'm finding that the actual content of each story is a lot less. Instead of using the pages to write a more detailed story, it feels like it's 50% new material and 50% reminding you what happened in the previous books. I don't mind using some details to set the scene, but it honestly feels like a large portion of the book is just "oh yeah remember the time Alex did this?" The short stories themselves aren't bad, but I feel like Horowitz could have made better use of the space given.

Another great Alex Rider novel! The extra short stories make reading this quick and enjoyable! A cool concept and adds to the series!Been reading these since they first came out, even for an adult, they’re fun and light reading to continue the storyline I started as a kid!

I GOT MY SON THE WHOLE COLLECTION AND THIS SEPARATE NOW. HE LOVES IT SO MUCH THAT HE IS READING FOR THE SECOND TIME. THE THING IS, HE IS NOT AN AVID READER, SO THIS IS AMAZING.

Amazing book!!! I'm so excited go read it!! This is my fave book series of all time I highly recommend for any reader young or old for this series! I took away 1 star because the paper sleeve was damaged when I received but other than that it was in good condition.

My son loves this book series and must have read and re-read all the books at least four times.
