Carolyn Brown weaves a wonderful story of the journey of one extended family centered around a woman who was surrendered to one family out of love from her birthmother. You see the hand of God weaving the journey that molds the family and pushes the bonds to form instantly because time is short.

I read this some years ago and loved it. I came across it again and am so glad I read it. I had misty eyes for quite a bit of this book. I absolutely love how chock full of all kinds of relationships it is. It is absolutely a love story but not just romance. I cannot recommend it enough. That said, if you're a cryer for any strong feeling, good or bad, definitely recommend tissues nearby!

Another great story of families and friends. I enjoyed reading it so much I couldn't put it down. I would definitely recommend this great story.

I wonder if this was difficult to write as it was to read? I found myself laughing so hard, and then desperately needing the time to slow, as if to avoid the impending end. But what a lovely book, front to back! Thanks, Carolyn Brown, for this lovely Texas adventure.

Carolyn Brown comes up with the most interesting characters and stories that everyone can relate to whether it is a sixteen year old struggle to find herself or an “ ancient “ deciding how to live out the rest of her life. Through in a mismatched family with bloodline or friendship that binds and you have one of the greatest stories ever told!

The story was interesting and the characters each had a part to play in the telling of the family history. But at times it felt one sided. Would have liked to have have known how her mum and dad were handling the fact that their daughter had not included them. I found myself turning pages back to remind myself who was whom. Maybe that was just me. It took me a while to be able to settle into the story. Having said that I did enjoy the book just felt there was something missing.

Absolutely fantastic book. Fabulous characters who go on a trip around the coast of Texas. This is no ordinary trip but only two of them know the real reason. This story is hilarious it has everything fun romance years and hope. Fabulous

Thank Carolyn Brown for this book. It made me dream again and helped me believe love it is possible to fall in love. The strength of Ivy and best friend is epic.
