More Quick-Fix Vegan: Simple, Delicious Recipes in 30 Minutes or Less

A valuable weeknight meal resource
One of my first vegan cookbooks when I was transitioning to a completely plant-based diet 2 1/2 years ago was Robin Robertson's Quick Fix Vegan. It has been one of my most used cookbooks. Robin seems to have a knack for knowing what I have in my refrigerator that needs to be used and giving me a recipe for it. So when More Quick-Fix Vegan was published, it seemed like a no-brainer to see what else Robin had for me. First of all, I like the appearance of her books: the paper it is printed on, the font and colors she uses on the page, the clean, uncluttered look, the list of recipes in each section at the beginning of the section, and a good index in the back. There are no pictures, however, so if that is essential for an individual, it could be a problem. Although pictures are nice, I do not consider them essential, and the book is easier to handle without those glossy inserts. So far, I have only tried two recipes from this book: bahn-mi noodles and tofu and green beans with hoisin-almond sauce. Both were easy to prepare and made good weeknight meals. The tofu and green beans with hoisin-almond sauce I made earlier this week and chose because I had green beans and tofu which I wanted to use. When I first get a cookbook, I usually sit down and look through the entire book, with a certain amount of reverence and excitement, and make a list of the recipes I want to make first. There are many recipes on my list, such as thai-coconut soup with tofu, unstuffed cabbage, rotini with broccoi and creamy sun-dried tomato sauce, and spaghetti with cremini bolognese sauce. Other recipes will slip in, though, as I have ingredients that need to be used and Robin gives me a recipe for them. I am giving this book 4 stars because of my slim experience with it thus far. It looks like it will be a valuable weeknight meal resource, as I had hoped.

So far I love it
I've only made one recipe so far from this second "quick-fix vegan" book, but the one recipe was super-tasty (we did the "stuffed cabbage stir-fry"). I look forward to trying some of the other very yummy-looking and easy recipes - if they're as good as the ones in this author's first book, they'll be great! (update: favorites so far include the yummy sweet potato barbecue bowl, and the pretzel mustard mac uncheese.)

Robertson writes GO TO cookbooks for every Vegan
I've reached a stage in my vegan cooking that if a cookbook comes along by Robin Robertson, I know that the recipes will be good, easy to prepare and among my "go to" books most of the time. The recipes are rather easy to prepare and taste great. Some cookbooks have decent sounding recipes but when you taste the final product, you wonder if they were ever even tested. I don't have that issue with Robertson. Start with the Quick Fix vegan and you will be sure to come back for this edition as well.

One of my most used
I have had this book for a few years now and it is absolutely a go-to again and again. Tonight I made the Vegetable Potpie Bowls (ready in 25 minutes!!) and was reminded of how much my husband and I love this book and Robin's recipes. Super flavorful, healthy, and never difficult or too many steps. I love all of Robin's books, but Quick Fix and More Quick Fix are my favorites.

I have all her cookbooks
While every recipe I have ever made from her cookbooks has turned out well, we have moved recently and I have not had a lot of time to cook so I have been cooking old tried and true dishes. I bought the book when it came out because I just have to have all her cookbooks (one of the few authors I feel this way about). I have every faith I will enjoy the new book when I have time to cook from it.

Yummy, easy recipes
I love this cookbook. The recipes are simple to make and yummy too. I love the spices and seasonings that are used and have enjoyed most of the recipes that I have made. Several of the recipes have become new family favorites.

I like this book
I like this book. When I don't have time to cook I can count on it for a go to meal that's fairly healthy. Relies on mostly common pantry staples so it makes meals that much more convenient.

I had quick fix vegetarian and it is one of my favorite cookbooks so I immediately bought this one. Simple, but hearty recipes.

No tiene fotográfias en su interior.
El hecho de no tener fotografías y que esté todo impreso en un mismo color hace mucho más difícil el recrear las recetas. En general no me gusta el formato.

Disappointed...
The recipes may be good but there aren't any pictures. It's very hard to cook when you have no idea about the final result you should expect. The book might have good recipes, but it severely need pictures. If I knew it was like this I wouldn't have bought it.
