Full 5⭐️ for quality. The print is very clear and back and white pictures are also nice. It is totally worth it at this price.NOTE: this book is a short version of the original published story. I bought it for my 7 year daughter and she loves it.

I bought this for my 6 yr old grandson, because we were talking about pirates and I commented how many fictional pirates are based on Long John Silver and his parrot, Capt Flint. My grandson didn't know who Long John Silver was, so that's how we ended up with the book. I read it myself (that took me back!) and found that this abridged version still keeps the main story and descriptions, while making it more palatable for youngsters. An ideal mixture. The book itself is well made, hard backed and good quality. It arrived quickly and well packaged. I look forward to introducing my grandson to Long John, Capt Flint (Pieces of Eight) and young Jim. I may well get others in the series, if he enjoys this.

My husband loved this old classic. Robert Louis Stevenson certainly had a vivid imagination on pirates. The grand children loved grandad reading this to them.

Great for reading at bedtime to a 5 year old.The original is good but way to long winded.
