Add to this mix female background vocal that sometimes sound like ... Sade! Oh, I hope I didn't miss anything...I have to admit that the music a bit angular and require more attention than most modern neo-prog releases, but you will be rewarded! I didn't like it too much after the first two attempts. But this album is a real grower, and the more I listen to it the more I like it.The first two tracks start with sounds similar to Pain of Salvation, but then morph into something more calmer.Starting from 3rd track the music flows into mostly fusion/prog territory, including 2 parts mini-epic Eyes, but not without occasion metal teeth.All band members, especially Luke and bass guitarist, are excellent musicians and not shy to demonstrate it.What I also like very much about this release is the production and sound quality are top notch!The sound is NOT compressed, it is clear and crisp! You can hear all details and nuances (and there are a lot of them).You will have hard time to find better sounding 2013 release!To sum it up, I strongly recommend it for all prog fans. A new comer to the prog scene. Very melodic, catchy, progressive, dynamic feel, hard when its call for. Full of musical passages from the opener to the closer. The songs are very memorable. Once you start listening to the songs you cannot stop listening to it.The musicianship of its five members are commendable. Vocalist has a great voice that fits the band and their songs.
