All Aboard! London: A Travel Primer (Lucy Darling)

Lots of London in a Little Book
I'm always excited for things that remind me of our trip to England, and I couldn't resist getting this board book about London for our 9mo daughter. The art has a retro feel--a little bit 1960's in both style and color palette. Each full page spread features a different London activity or landmark ("Checking the time at Big Ben") with labeled travel-related items ("Suitcases," "Taxi," "Passport."). The final spread is a collage/checklist of London icons and travel necessities. While I questioned some of the pages (the one dedicated to the Gherkin, for example), on the whole the book is really fun and tries to present a multi-dimensional snapshot of London. We've really enjoyed it.

Cute artwork but there isn’t a story or info about the landmarks, so you need to either know your stuff or make it up!

Nice artwork, but no story
I expected there to be little fun facts alongside the pictures, but there was nothing. Pretty book, but pointless for a child as there's no story.
