Pentair 263028 Swimming Pool 3-Way Plumbing PVC No Lube Diverter Valve 2" x 2.5"

I installed it last week and it is already leaking water around two of the screws, and they are fully tight. Water pressure is only 20 pounds. Obviously a manufacturing defect. Will try to contact Pentair for a resolution.Update: pentAir sent a repair kit with new “O-Rings”. When I removed the 8 screws to access the cover the pvc threads came out on the screws, so the total housing is useless. The main body PVC is obviously molded out of soft plastic, and the screws were self drilling. Too late to return to Amazon since this ordeal has taken 6 weeks. Have to buy a more reliable solution somewhere else.

I installed 2 of these diverter valves into my new pool pump, filter, salt generator and heater setup. Nice valves. Smooth fit and function.

Be careful when ordering this part to replace an older valve as the screw sizes are different and the diverter is larger than other, earlier models. This worked out for me though because I just robbed the o-rings off of it and fixed a leaky earlier model valve.

I’ve used about 3 of these multi port valves in the past 15 years and this most recent one I purchased does not work properly. It is not completely shutting off water to the second port when closed. Water is still trickling through enough to register on my flow meter. For the outrageous costs of these I’m rather disappointed!

My new house came with a pool which had it’s neglected plumbing falling apart. I biught this to fix the old one. Rather than performing major plumbing surgery, i took them noth apart and replace the internals of the old with these. Thankfully, everything must be manufactured exactly the same because it all fit perfectly and a crisis was averted.

This was an exact replacement for a valve that was leaking on my pool system. Excellent quality and easy to install. I would expect it to last for many years. It's been installed now for six months with no issues.

Anyone who has a pool knows these won't last forever. I can say that neither of the inlets were a particularly snug fit which is rather unsettling, I guess we will see how long the cement bond holds. Last valve lasted at least 10 years, I can only hope this one lasts half as long as these parts seem to get more cheaply made every generation.

Purchased two of these valves. One leaked out of the box tightened the bonnet and got it to a very slow drip. 2.5 months later it is losing a gallon an hour and the other valve is leaking. Would not recommend.
