I love the family-based approach to the issues surrounding food struggles, as well as the beautifully articulated and user-friendly strategies for implementing lasting change. This book is so much more than a book about eating issues for teens. It's truly about making long life changes in many areas of one's life. This book is multifaceted and comprehensive in that is addresses both the dietary and nutrition habits as well as the associated thoughts and behaviors that often come along with eating and other issues. It is an engaging must-read for every parent and health professional and it goes way beyond issues surrounding food by bringing more mindfulness into all aspects of life.

Highly recommended as a mom and clinician
As a mom of a child with ADHD, this book has been very helpful to our family. My son has struggled from time to time with impulsive eating. Even as a clinician myself, it has been hard to know the best way to handle this situation. This book gave my husband and I several strategies to use with our son. It contained helpful activities to do with him to teach him skills like eating mindfully and also helped us as parents know how to respond to him in a loving and caring way. I highly recommend this book to other parents with similar struggles!
