Amazing stuff ! Everything boils in it very quickly and saves a lot of cooking time. You never need to use full flame. Medium to low flame will do the job. So saves fuel too. I found the top doesn't get very hot, so a few times I accidentally touched the top while removing the lid, it wasn't hot, just slightly warm (and it was still on fire, mind you). This may not be the most suitable design for frying because the depth makes it difficult to see the bottom and I don't suggest looking directly into the saucepan while frying as shooting oil can harm your eyes/ face.Excellent for making curries, soups, sabzi etc, basically anything that has some water content and can be steamed or sautéed. Enjoy your handi or saucepan !

A hawkins product never disappoints u. This was bought to slow cook chicken n it serves the purpose very well. I made pulao too..since the bottom is thick the food remains tender n juicy with minimal chance of burning. N since cleaning it is super easy the product is very good. Though expensive n heavy due to its sturdiness it will last.

I am really happy about this product. Never have I written a review before but the quality and satisfaction after using this compels me to. Unique design and compact..good for making vegetables curries in small quantity. The water on lid works really well...so water is also less required. Overall it is highly satisfying. The only con I felt is it's a bit heavy. I bought this for mother in law...and she finds it difficult to handle due to this.

Nice product for making open sabzi or dal..looks good..suffiecient for family of 4...I wanted to buy the handi look with 2 small handle but that is available in 3l which is higher capacity than required so I went for this and I am quite happy with my decision 😀

Not as thick based as I assumed .One has to keep stirring after small intervals to keep food from sticking .Unique lid design where one can pour water for the 'dum' effect
