Bandai Hobby Stars Wars Plastic Model Resistance X-Wing Star Fighter Star Wars: The Force Awakens 1/72 (BAN202289)

Superior build quality to most Revell and Ertl kits. Very little flashing on sprue trees, and coloured trees are used on coloured pieces so no unsightly different coloured cut marks. Kit snaps together very neatly & does not requite glue or paint, though the more experienced modeller may wish to add paint to smaller parts and/or weathering effects. Superbly detailed, the kit also comes with 90 decals which in a nice touch are duplicated in both sticker and water slide transfer formats giving you the choice of application. Note - the written instructions are in Japanese but any average skilled modeller will have little difficulty following the clear picture instructions. Finished model size is approximately 7" long and can be displayed standing either in 'parked mode' or on a poseable stand (included in the kit) in a flight configuration, X-wings open or closed. I would have little hesitation in recommending this superb kit which at the £17 I paid (including p&p from Japan) also represented tremendous value.

Bandai continue to impress with this addition to their Star Wars model kit set range, it's beautifully molded and packed with detail.The Incom T-70 X-Wing Fighter Resistance is the lightly modified version of it's predecessor, the T-65 X-Wing Star Fighter.The kit is already pre-colored but you have the option to add that personal touch and paint the kit yourself if you prefer too, with the help of the instruction manual to aid you in color matching the paints using the color guide (Jpn) inside, the manual however is NOT in English but still has great photo reference for you to follow.The 1/72 Scale model comes unassembled and includes both decals and stickers for the X-Wings insignia markings, instrument panel and the clear canopy.There are also weaponry effects and canopy pieces which include, one opened (clear plastic) and one closed (frame only, NO plastic windows), as well as standing and seated pilots and BB-8.The laser beams are depicted in clear red plastic to replicate the look of laser bolts being fired from the laser canons - simply insert the appropriate end into the openings of the canons mounted on the wing tips.It comes with a display stand that has a movable mounting arm to show off your X-Wing in different angles in flight mode, or you can attach the removable landing gear by simply removing the landing gear covers from the under carriage and lower engines to display the X-Wing grounded.The 'S-Foils' or wings, can either be displayed opened (X-Winged) or closed and just a simple reminder, this is a SNAP TOGETHER kit like their previous releases so there is really no need of glue.I just can't see any fault with this model kit, it's an incredible model just like the other Bandai Star Wars release's I've purchased, Bandai and their attention to detail just blows me away.Very happy with this model kit.The model is still assembled but I've included some photos of the sprues, hopefully you can still pick out the details.

It's a great product. Bandai never fails to surprise me. The material is superb and the base paint of the molds are pretty neat as well. Comes with waterslide decals and stickers, with the former providing superior results. Overall a very satisfactory piece. Only gripe is that it doesn't come with an extra pilot (standing pose) and extra droid as the OT X-Wing kit did.

This was so well done! I got this for my husband for Fathers day, and he was very impressed with all the pieces that it came with. It fit together so well, he didn't need glue. He's a very experienced model builder and at first was unsure if this would be too easy, till he opened the box and saw how much he got to do. He weathered it and it looks just like a movie model. He was impressed also by the fact that they had some of the pieces colored, not all decals, so it has the next level of realism. I'm very pleased. However, do be aware, the dictions are in Japanese, but you can find them in English online. I had no problem finding them online, but the pictures they send, are so well done, that the words aren't necessary if you're not a first-time builder. Also, the box it came in, was a very nice box. The kind you just don't want to get rid of. I'm very pressed with all of it and the price.

Hard to build, not for a beginner. Some decals are useless (like the silver ones around the jet intakes)... there are so many of them, so if you love decals, you'll have fun with this kit.
