Some hints to make floor cleaning with Scotch-Brite affordable, effective and the cheapest I’ve found and I never have to get on my knees. I’ve used this on laminate and tile floors after finding the product at a large box store many years ago. We live on a farm with a large house with multiple kids, cats, and dog and still the kitchen and mud room take only 15 minutes.. Use a dry Scotch-Brite mop to sweep all floors. This is fast and the mop gets under furniture and partially under appliances. Use your vacuum to pick up floor and clean mop(s) as you go around job.. Fill 1/3 gal container with water and a few tbs. of vinegar. I add ONE drop of dawn and few drops (lysol) for smell.. Dampen mop to clean the bathrooms and kitchen.. Fill gallon container with warm water, rinse mop(s) and ring out.. Mop all floors with weak solution or just water (I carry around a dry scrub pad for a few spots). Rinse mops and throw in laundry.. Note. If you have soap or commercial product residue on floors ONLY use 1/2 cup of white distilled vinegar with 1 gallon of warm water. Two difficult rentals to clean: one 4 years where they kept a parrot in a room and another much harder was after ten years of great renters who used commercial floor cleaners! Rinse green mops in warm water and repeat with solution until clean.

A good sturdy mop, it does the job really well. You obviously need to sweep or hoover the floor first, but its really easy to use. A little difficult to store because it doesn't fold down, but if it did you would lose some of its sturdiness.

Pros:* Hardwood, laminate, tile, whatever your bare floors are, this will work on it.* The articulation of the mop head gives you a low profile that allows you to get under any furniture. No dust bunny is safe under a couch or bed or bookcase. It'll get where your vacuum can't.* The wide mop speeds things up with its large cleaning arc. I can do a four-room apartment in less than five minutes.* The cloth is easy to get on/off and easy to clean. Rinse it in the tub or throw it in the wash.* Can be used dry or damp.Cons:* It'll pick up hair, but getting the hair off the mop isn't fun.* It won't pick up larger particular matter. This isn't a vacuum, so you'll end up pushing bigger bits around until you bend down and retrieve them and no carperpetuation will change that.* The mop head is loose, so combined with the full articulation, you have to steer it with a bit of intent so it will fly straight.As an aside/warning: the mop 'folds' flat, although the handle does not telescope, which is great for storage. But instead of a long and thin box, Amazon shipped it diagonally in a box the size of my (six-person) dining room table -- and it still didn't fit, poking out the side. You are going to have a lot of cardboard to break down and recycle.

Trick on how to put the pad on: Watching my cleaning lady, the movable/clip side up, slip the pad on the bottom (non-movable side first). Hold it with one hand once you slip on one side, use the other hand, bend the movable side, and slip the pad onto the movable side (yes, it is tricky, it comes off easy), once both end on, clip it. I tried to flip the mop with the clip side down to put the pad on the mop, for some reason, it is not as easy as this way and I think that is when I keep pitching my fingers.====I pay for regular house cleaning every 2 weeks and provide the cleaning stuffs for my house (prefer not to use their stuffs that cleans many other houses). My new cleaning lady recommended this mop.In between her visits, I vacuum and mop the kitchen and other busy traffic area for a family of 5. I have few other mops that I bought over the years that I had used. Since I got this one and tried it once, this is the only mop I'm using now. I guess people have to try bad mop designs to truly understand how easy this mop is to use.It does take a few try to learn how to put on the pad ( I did pitch my fingers a few times initially), but once you put the pad on, it is very smooth to use and clean the floor very easy and fast. It moves around all the corners, side, edges easily! I was amazed and I actually enjoying moping my floor now. Unfortunately, I get annoyed nowadays that my kids would make a messy the minute after I clean the kitchen. lol...I'm buying a second mop and more pads. I used the mop today and notice there is a hair line crack on the latch (I bought it on Amazon around Sept 2021). Not sure how long this mop will last, buying one more for back-up.
