My baby loves these bottles and we love them too!
These bottles are fantastic. My daughter is EBF, but around 2 weeks after she had mastered breast feeding, my husband wanted to start giving her a bottle. We thought this would be great practice for when I would return to work and she would be drinking bottles all day at daycare. We started with Dr. Brown's bottles and after initially taking the Dr. Brown's bottles our DD started to reject those bottles. We determined that she was gulping way too much and the flow of the Level 1 nipple was too much for her. After stumbling across a reviewer on Amazon mentioning the Breastflow bottles we decided to give them a try. It was the best move we made. The bottle works exactly as stated. The inner nipple and outer nipple worked together to allow her to control the flow. NO more gulping! NO more trying to catch her breath while drinking. Just a nice, peaceful bottle experience for our daughter and my husband. It gave him an opportunity to bond with her and she got used to the bottles so when I returned to work she was a pro for her care providers. The larger 9 ounce bottles come with a Level 2 nipple (outer nipple is blue in color), but our daughter is now 10 months and we still use the Level 1. I would recommend purchasing some extra Level 1 nipples, so you have a few more on hand. I have tried the Level 2 once or twice, but she still seems to prefer the Level 1.To clean the inner nipple sufficiently we also purchase the OXO Tot Bottle Brush: http://www.amazon.com/OXO-Bottle-Nipple-Cleaner-Orange/dp/B0038JDVCE. The silicone nipple cleaner was great for cleaning inside the inner nipple and also for my pump parts! The only con to the bottles is 2 nipples means more to clean. :) Despite more cleaning would recommend these again and again!

Great for my breastfed baby!
My baby is exclusively breast fed, but sometimes he needs a little extra in the evenings. I have pretty much every bottle known to man (this is my third baby and the first two were exclusively bottle fed) and my baby would choke and gag on EVERY bottle I own. So I tried these and I gotta say, he has to work at it, but he never chokes or gags on this bottle at all. He woudl always get too much on other bottles (using the newborn or size 1 nipples) and milk would constantly leak out of his mouth. Not with these bottles, every ounce goes right to his belly. As other reviewers have stated, milk does accumulate in the outer nipple, but is easily removed back to the bottle part by squeezing the nipple. Only three parts to clean too, which is nice as we have some bottles that have more parts than a bottle should ever need.I would definitely recommend these to anyone who's had trouble with other bottles on a breastfed baby.

The only bottle our brestfed baby would take!!!
We had a very difficult time trying to get our breastfed daughter to take a bottle. After literally trying 10 to 15 different types of bottles, she finally took to the Breastflow and has never looked back. I think the fact that it mimics compression and suction motions of the breast made it seem more natural for her. Also, with other bottles, even the slowest flow ones, she would choke or put her tongue back to prevent the drips of milk from going down her throat. This also meant that she was not latching on the bottle nipple to suck. Starting out I had to lay her in a breast feeding position on her side to get her to take a bottle, and with other bottles that meant that they would either drip or the milk would not fill the nipple for her to get to it. With the breastflow, it worked just great! The shape of the nipple also helped her, because I could kind of squeeze it and shape it to get her to latch, just like at the breast. Now she has no trouble switching back and forth from breast to bottle between home and daycare.Initially when I used the bottle it leaked terribly, but after reading other reviews, I found that the blue inner nipple had a slight gap and was not sealing properly. Once we pushed it in and sealed it correctly and tightened the lid tight, we have not had any more issues. I would highly recommend this bottle for breastfed babies, particularly those having difficulty getting used to a bottle.

Great bottle for breastfed babies or babies in training!
My baby daughter was born premature and she had to spend two weeks on the nicu. I always wanted to breastfeed her but she was too small to latch on, and she had to use bottles from birth. After she gained some weight we started breastfeeding classes. To help us with this process I was told by the lactation consultant to get a bottle that simulated a human nipple. After a lot of research I thought this one was the best for the job. Before ordering I was a little discouraged due to the reviews about leakage. I have been using these bottles for a month now and I haven't had any problems with leaks. What usually happens is that milk gets stuck in the outside soft nipple but you can send it back down by pressing the sides of the nipple. You can repeat this process until most milk is gone. Since the nipple doesn't release milk without baby suction, I am not concerned about pace feeding her and I can also tilt the bottle further to get all the drops out.The only complain that I have is that.... there is always some milk staying on the creases specially if there is a lot of fat on it. I can't get baby to drink every single drop like with other bottles, but since she only gets what she sucks / swallow each time, she almost never get milk on her bib. So it evens out.I am really impressed with this bottle!
