Great product...depending on your hair style!
This is hard to review, but I will try.I have a left parted haircut. I started with the Clay from Shu' Mera. Love it, and thinking about buying it, but I like the Oribe Molding PASTE because it it gives my hair a little more shine for a healthier look.I used the Molding WAX for about a year, and its superior in hold, and gives a nice matte finish. And while it says its a wax, it's not wax. I have used other wax products where you cannot wash it off your hands. You don't have to use your lifeforce to emulsify the product between your hands. It washes off nicely, and leaves your hair nice with a non-waxy texture.VERDICT: You won't find this in CVS. This is a high quality product, but there's a million high quality products. It just takes experimenting and the look you want. This product will do best with short hair. It's like holding gel, but with more give, better texture, and a matte finish. If that's what you're looking for, it's worth the $40. I prefer the Paste just because its one step lower in terms of hold.

Fantastic results
I am an airline aficionado, their anti-dandruff line, Serene Scalp, is probably the best one out there. I had been wishing for a hair pomade that could match the wonderful scent of Serene Scalp, and here was the solution, right under my nose all along! This product has competitive pricing, phenomenal quality and the scent I like so much. I can’t speak highly enough. The hold of the product is not too firm and leaves the hair feeling healthy and natural, with a finished look.

Makes styling easy
I’ve used paste, wax and gel to style, but I find this product works very well with my short hair. It’s not sticky, brushes out fine. And has a nice very subtle fragrance.

Excellent product for Oribe fans, but pricey for how frequently you'll need to buy it.
I switched to this product after a hairstylist had used a similar formula molding paste/ clay pomade on my hair and I really liked the look. As usual, this oribe product is fantastic- gives my hair a sleek look, holds down flyaways, smells great, allows tons of different styles, I can iron over it, and it washes out easily without being too sticky or shiny. As a fan of the brand, I know it's expensive so I rarely complain about the price, however since purchasing this molding paste I've used 2 other similar, less expensive products, and they do an equally good job. The thing that really sets this apart is the great smell and the fact that it's oribe, but you can definitely get the same look/hold for less money. The biggest downside to this product is you'll end up going through it just as quickly as you would the cheap stuff, but I'd say it's still worth treating yourself to.

Favorite hair product
This is one of the best hair styling products I've ever used after trying probably 100+ in my life across the last 28 years.

love this stuff
I've been using this product almost everyday for the past 4 years. One container will last me about 6 months. I've used it with my hair ranging from about 3 inches, wavy/curly, to about half an inch, no curl. I think it works best applying it to nearly-dry short hair. When I had longer hair I would apply it when my hair was still damp and it worked, but I think it serves a better purpose on shorter hair. I like that it doesn't make my hair look shiny and hard. It looks more dry with a soft texture and doesn't leave my hair sticky. It might seem expensive for such a small container, but it comes out to about $7/month with everyday use.
