Mom's to be (and dads!!!!) bible
As many first time mothers to be, I ended up ordering way too many books about pregnancy.... This one is good - it has it all and pictures as well. It's quite medical-oriented so it is more about what the body is doing and how the birth works etc. If you want to have some emotional support and self-care tactics, get something more specific, but keep this one as well. I found that my husband appreciated it because in a plain and straightforward language it tells you what's happening (no unicorns and rainbows in here). Again, it is an American version, so lots of birth planning stuff will apply if you live in Europe.

Would definitely recommend
Very informative pregnancy guide. Wanted a book that was more medical than anecdotal in nature, and this is perfect. As a Brit some of the information isn't relevant as it's based on the American health system, but apart from that I've found it very useful and the only book I've needed throughout my first pregnancy.

A good guide for expentant mothers
A book for every expectant mother. It has a week by week development update. The books highlights the baby's development and the changes in the mother as well, which is useful for expentant mother. It also lays out facts clearly. I like that the book also has sections on delivery and newborns. Overall a good purchase for expectant mothers who want facts.
