This is our bread a butter. We have been offering these wheels for quite a few years now and have refined our process to perfection. . Wheel is first reamed to 0.0980" which is the largest diameter that BSA specs to remove inner bore imperfections. This gives a consistent roll down the track. After this process, the wheels are then turned on a CNC lathe that allows us to turn each wheel to near exact diameter of 1.174" while allowing us to adjust the surface of the tread so that there is no ridges. An easy way to tell if a wheel has been turned on a conventional lathe is to feel for ridges with your fingernail. Our wheels pass the fingernail test! We care that much! removal of the outer tread does take a few tenths of a gram off, however leads the bead (dimples) in tact for inspection purposes.
