Adesso4016-26 Duet Floor Lamp, Antique Bronze

This lamp caught my eye when I was searching for a twin-bulb, brushed metal floor lamp. Then I read the reviews, and decided it was too risky. After considering aimilar, far more expensive, lamps on Amazon and elsewhere, eventuhally decided to tale a chance and order two of thm. Arrived today, all parts and shades presemt and undamaged. The lamp is quite cleverly packaged, but beware the particularly nasty single sheet of ultra-crumbly styrofoam - avoid cutting or tearing it, as it dissolves into a million pieces. All the other packing materials are cardboard and I think the manufacturer should re-think the styrofoam.I was rather anxious assembling the first lamp, given all the reviews saying how difficult this is, but all one has to do is screw one threaded tube into the next. The 4 tubes enclosing the cord are all in the correct order, forming one of te poles so one has a template for the order in which the other pole must be assembled. The ends of the poles do not screw into the base, but simply pass through it and are attached with washers and hex nuts.The second lamp assembly went much faster. They are both very sturdy, cast a beautiful light (I used 60W equivalent Cree soft white LED bulbs) and generally look quite stylish. They also take up relatively little space, since the shades are oval.

This came well-packed in a box that was relatively easy to carry. It was easy enough to put together, and any 60 watt regular bulbs fit, but I suggest using clear bulbs for more light because there is only space for two, not as bright as I would have liked. The bronze comes with the dark shade which prevents more light, it would have been nice if I could choose the lighter shade. The pull chains are easy, although not even. Altogether I would say it is a nice looking lamp.

I purchased this lamp to replace one that utilized a three way LED light bulb for different amounts of light as needed. The issue with the old lamp was the price and poor quality of current Three way LED bulbs. You can buy as many as six 60 watt LED bulbs that last forever and work perfectly for the same price as one 50-100-150 three way LED bulb.This Adesso handles two 60 watt Led bulbs with separate pull chains so you can run the one in the front, back or both. Plus, the elongated lamp shade allows the two 60 watt LEDs to deliver as much light as the old three way bulb on it's highest setting.The lamp itself is beautiful. The antique bronze finish goes perfectly with our decor and the lamp height is about five inches taller than most floor standing lamps of this type. It's worked out perfectly for us.

I have two of these lamps. Both lamps one pole does not screw in straight. I kept them because where they were you couldn't see it and the light is a good one

If you’ve seen these lamps in your social media feed at Pottery Barn, these are the same exact lamps for much less. Take my advice, these lamps are being sold on several platforms at different price points, just don’t buy them from Pottery Barn like I did and then go through their hassle of returning.The lamps are beautiful and high quality.

Only one of the two lamps I ordered arrived but it's the holiday season so I don't think it was the shipper's fault. I agree with the other writer who said that it is difficult to assemble. I admittedly didn't pay close attention to the directions so I scratched the base screwing in the poles. Don't get excited like I did and read the directions. Also I used CFL bulbs and the low/high/off function works well; the instructions inside the box said it might only work best on the high setting. I disagree. The lamp shade is a perfect shade of ivory and the height is really nice. The base underneath (which no one sees) is an ugly plastic and I'm having issues tucking the excess chord under it ---if anyone solves this problem, please post. It casts a warm light above and below on the wall (the description said that all light is cast downward is which is inaccurate and didn't make sense anyway with the way the lampshade is designed). I'm really pleased with the design for the price! I looked in furniture stores and uglier lamps were twice the price. This is so much nicer than the wobbly crooked lamps of my youth...it will look beautiful in your home!

The lamp looks great next to our leather sofa. Love the light pull chain feature. Much easier than fumbling to find a light switch under the shade. Good height for reading and computing.
