Tootsie Rolls Assorted Fruit Rolls 3 pounds (48 ounces)

I really like fruit Tootsie Rolls! This product is shown in writing and in the pic to be Fruit Tootsie rolls. I was sent some off brand bag of "Frooties." NOT what I ordered. Maybe they simply made a mistake. I tasted to see if I could settle but they are bad tasting. Just want what I ordered and paid for. Not these horrible Frooties.

Answer: Truth in advertising.This bag of candies is advertised as: "Tootsie Rolls Assorted Fruit Rolls 3 pounds (48 ounces)." Yet nowhere on the 3 lb bag, or on the wrappers for each of these individual pieces does it say "Tootsie Roll." The bag says: "King Sweets." With an ersatz seal that says "Premium Quality."I unwrapped two or three of these individual pieces, and they certainly have the same taste and consistency as the the flavored bite-sized Tootsie Rolls that I have purchased before—only slight;y smaller in size when compared side-by-side.So what have I purchased?And why is this important?The Trader Joe's chain of grocery stores often strikes deals with food companies, to offer their exact products under the Trader Joe's label...at reduced prices. But Trader Joe's does not advertise these as the original brands. They are packaged as Trader Joe's products.Do we have a similar circumstance here? We just don't know.We don't know what we have purchased, and we don't know what we are feeding to our children.But we should not be buying these products from Amazon that are falsely advertised...Or are they?I hope the review helps.

My husband and I are "empty nesters" , but my hubby has a huge sweet tooth-especially when it comes to these candies. He really enjoys the fruity ones, and, up until now I have only found them in the "child's play" packages, but to my dismay, there usually are only a few in each package. Then one day I was thinking, I need to check on Amazon, I bet, if they are to be found packaged alone, then I will find them on there! So, sure enough, they were on there!! I surprised my hubby and had them in his candy bowl when he returned from work one day-he was so excited! He loved them so much he took a pocketful with him wherever he went! It didn't take long for them to "disappear"!! Now I plan to order more...I was hesitant to order more so quickly, because part of the fun is not having them available all the time! But it has been awhile, and hubby has been asking about them, so I plan to order more, and I also plan to find some more "old time candy" and switch out his candy bowl with more surprises!!

These were not what was advertised. It was supposed to be the Tootsie Roll Midgees in a mix of orange, lemon, lime, cherry and vanilla. What I received was Tootsie Frooties in watermelon, passion fruit, grape, green apple, and several other flavors. They are much smaller than the midgees and taste terrible. Additionally, the nutrition facts on the bag are not what was shown online. Huge disappointment!

I received a package of these tootsie rolls that was never sealed from the factory. I reported it to the seller and they said that because the pieces were individually wrapped they were fine to eat, and refused to replace.Its not like these are individually sealed candies -- they're wrapped in paper -- they are tootsie rolls, after all. Buyer Beware. Also, the package pictured was not what I received. It was a "King's Sweets" bag. Not that I care about the packaging --- with the exception that it was already opened when I received it.Take care when dealing with KOS Fast Distribution.

I'm really wishing I was sent these back. I love Tootsie Rolls I probably would have even been better off just getting the regular chocolate but I was wanting something fruity. My favorite are the orange and the red and of course there's only a few of them in there most of them are green I even went through the bag picking out the Green from the colored ones in the bag is over halfway full of just the green. Now as far as freshness that's pretty iffy for some reason these are not as good as the ones I've had in the past I don't know if it's cuz they're old or what. I always offer the kids in the neighborhood candy in the usually take it now they ask me what kind is it and when I tell them it's the fruity Tootsie Rolls they always tell me no thank you.

So disappointing! The picture showed delicious, flavored tootsie rolls in a plastic (see through) bag! What came was assorted frooties (flavors like grape, cherry lime, watermelon, strawberry) in a white plastic bag (so you didn't know what you were getting until you'd opened it, and it was too late). The gas station by my house sells these candies for 2 cents each. I would bet three pounds of those would cost less than this. False advertisement, and way overpriced.

Fresh, decent amount, even distribution for the most part (slight skew toward vanilla) If you have had these before, then buy them here. If you have never tried these you will want to. Kids will love these and adults will get a low cal satisfaction for that sweet tooth. The sweet fruity flavor will make you wonder why you ever bothered with those could be chocolate normal tootsie rollsUpdate: I recently brought these again 6/16 and i was delivered a half bag of tootsie rolls fruit. Definitely not 3 pounds 2 1/4 lbs and it came without a label. Was still tasty but, bitter sweet since you know you got ripped off on the amount you were supposed to get! Lowering a star
