Is the manufacture checking arsinic levels for this kelp suppliment?

I emailed the manufacturer about this because I have Lupus and AVOID chemicals & with an Organic plant based diet to help control my Lupus flare ups. This species of kelp grows in coastal ocean waters from 1 to 10 feet deep with the tide. Nature's Way uses whole dried plant guaranteed to contain 0.06% iodine. The type of kelp used in Nature's Ways products is Ascophyllum nodosum, a large, common brown alga (Phaeophyceae) in the family Fucaceae. This product is harvested from waters close to Canada and Ireland (Atlantic Ocean). The kelp is the source of the iodine. Nature’s Way is a quality manufacturer of dietary supplements dedicated to providing premium products to the public. It doesn't say where it's manufactured only says it's manufactured for the company

Does anyone know the source of the kelp?

I do not know where it comes from except it grows in the tides of coastal ocean waters from zero to ten feet deep. There is an 800 number that you can if you have any questions. Here it is: 1-800-9NATURE. By the way, Nature's Way uses the whole dried plant. I would call the 800 number to find out the exact area it comes from. Hope this helps.

i have read that the iodine loses potency with time. what is the shelf life for the 360mcg's of iodine?

The answer left by another individual, stating that he would not recommend keeping the product longer than a year, does not reflect the company's tested facts. I just called Nature's Way to verify this statement by the other reviewer, and was told that they test their products through the full shelf life and guarantee them at full potency until the expiration date on the product. I have a bottle of this product purchased in 2017, with an expiration date of 11/20/2020, which would be at least a 3-year shelf life. The nature's way representative confirmed that the product is guaranteed to still have 300mcg of iodine in it per serving through that date.
