I was super dubious, but The NY Times review for the regular non-thermal version of these piqued my interest when the writer said they were really durable for hiking. I normally wear Athlete leggings when I can find them on sale because of their B Corp status. These were super cheap. No idea the human rights conditions, environmental footprint--but the quality is excellent. They are warm, tough, flattering and wind proof enough for a chilly fall day. I don't love ordering clothing on here because of the unknown factory origins, so when I do, my "solution" is to give some dough to a fair trade organization as an offset. Not sure if that is the right approach. At least these are not the flimsy, low quality of fast fashion. The seams are strong, the fit was as expected (I'm a large-waisted, larger-thighed size 8/10 and the large was just right, not baggy but not uncomfortable), they are actually warm and they didn't have to be hitched up constantly but stayed put. The fabric has a strong = weave that hasn't pilled yet and they washed beautifully (I hang dry everything). Would order again and recommend.

These leggings are dangerous because I may never wear another pair of pants again! These are SO cozy and comfortable I just want to wear them every day!! A must have if you live in a cooler climate. Perfect to wear alone or as a base layer on a very cold day.

These leggings are comfortable and keep me warmer than my normal leggings on chilly morning walks and early morning yardwork in California (temps in the 40s). I'm not sure I could do more intense workouts in them, because I think I might get too warm.They appear to be well made and fit as I'd hoped.

Purchased these 18 months ago and wanted another to have the versatility of wearing them EVERY day (LOL!) this winter. Comfortable, warm, well made, beautiful and perfect fit! (5'6" -- 135# -- medium). Will keep IUGA on my wishlist.

These pants are essential for cold mornings kicking around the house or for outdoor workouts! They feel like a warm hug. They are loved so much you will want at least two pair!

Bought these for the wife for an upcoming trip to Colorado. She wore them today for the 1st time and they looked great on her.

i love these leggings, don’t get me wrong, but i bought them thinking they would be super super warm.. they are just a little thicker than normal leggings. they are well made and worth it for everyday wear. but i would not recommend if you’re looking for something warm for the winter.

These leggings are warm, very comfortable, opaque, and appear to be durable. I have only worn once so far but I liked them so much I havwe ordered another pair in a different color. I did reorder in a size smaller though, as current pair is a a bit long and VERY high waisted on me. Hopefully the size down does not act as a compression stocking!

I'm typically a size small (4 or 26 and 5'4) but I sized up and got a medium. The medium fits perfectly. They're not super warm but have enough lining to keep you cozy on a winter day inside or walking the dog when it's colder. They don't block wind obviously but have worn them without another layer in up to -1C and were comfy. These would also be great to wear as a base layer for skiing, hiking or other outdoor winter activities. The pockets are great for little items and the price point was great. They feel like nice quality too.

I wish the blue colour was a little darker but otherwise really happy with it: fits absolutely perfectly everywhere, like a glove, material feels nice to the skin and just warm enough for winter wear. I’m already hooked to this brand and will order more. Thank You Wirecutter NYT for guiding me to this brand.

Bought for walking or hiking colder winter days.I’m 5’8” tall - 190 lbs and bought size XL which fit me perfect!!!Warm thermal layer inside - will be buying 2nd pair or 3rd pair.Haven’t tried outside yet but believe these are what I needed as my Lululemon tights felt so cold without the extra layer.

These fit great for short 5'0" like me. Not often I can find leggings that are the perfect length. With that said, I'm not sure if these will end up being too short for taller people. These wash well and the inner fleece stays soft. There's a bit of pilling in the inner thighs after several wears but, that's due to my thighs rubbing when I walk -common with many other leggings. They're just a bit expensive for one pair of leggings.

Arrived quickly. Super soft, really comfortable. Needed lined leggings to walk the dog during the now cooler months. These are perfect. Very happy with them. Especially luv the pockets.
