The description of this item fails to note an important feature that would prohibit the effective use of the montion sensing outlets: it only functions when the control outlet is plugged in to a TV and that TV is powered on. That makes those outlets useless in non-A/V applications. If you want to use this to trigger room lights to turn on when you enter the room, or in my case to provide shut off protection for things like irons that you may forget to unplug when not in use, then this strip will not work. Since this functionality doesn't exist I can't address how well it performs the motion sensing task.

I bought three of these to use at work for our computers with the sole intent to hook up portable electric space heaters so they would not be accidentally left on when we left the office. The heaters are 1500 watts on the highest setting. This power strip will not power the heater on the high setting, but works great for the lower setting (750 watts). Fortunately that is adequate for the spaces we are using them for.

After hearing from the sellers I have to retract my previous feedback, which was negative. The power strips are installed and working as they should. I’m pleased with the way they are working. I hope to save on my power bill by having things not always on.

Not good at all. Needs a "source plugged into it" which kind of defeats most peoples purposes to save energy. We tried to large LED monitors as the source which required us to add a power strip to plug 2 lcd panels into. This unit would turn on and off at odd times. Not very good at all

Works well. The only thing I was disappointed in was that something has to be plugged in to the black outlet (lower left in the picture) to drive the triggering function of the four sensor outlets on the lower row. It's not just the motion-sensing, it's both. I would have preferred just motion sensing like my older one does (not this brand).

Works well, I like the outlets are split as some full power all the time and some on the motion sensor. I would buy it again.
