TCG: Charizard-EX Collection Card Game, Red/Blue

My box arrived very damaged - the cards and figure was fine, but the packaging was all torn up. I had been hoping to keep it as a collector's item - I had already bought one box and opened it, but I thought it was so neat. Thankfully Amazon is wonderful, and they offered me a partial refund if I wanted to keep it, or a replacement if I wanted to send it back. I ended up keeping it and just buying a third box.Pulls were good in all the boxes I've opened, so I doubt they're weighed, though in a big box like these I'd imagine it's hard to tell much about the cards by weighing them anyway. but the Charizard figure is much cooler than I was expecting. Generations is shaping up to be a beautiful set - I honestly got back into collecting because I knew it was coming out. Some lovely nostalgia mixed with some really great cards. And I love the Charizard-EX. The box comes with only one TCG online code, but it unlocks 4 Generations booster packs and the Charizard-EX.

I absolutely love Pokemon, and Charizard is my favorite, so I was ecstatic when I saw this box. What I like about the "Generations" series is that they often come with pretty decent cards, especially in boxes like this. As one reviewer mentioned, there are duplicates. But this kind of happens whenever you get booster packs - you get a few (maybe) that you wanted it, and several duds.I forget what I pulled, but the promo Charizard card displayed is really pretty. The figurine is honestly meh for me, but it looks good from a distance. Up close it's decently made, but not anything astounding. Suffice to say, I don't really collect Pokemon figurines for the most part - so I'm not one to ask.

The package arrived, however, it appeared to be a different box than we ordered. We ordered the Charizard EX collection with an oversized jumbo card. The box arrived instead included the figurine figure of Charizard and no oversized jumbo card. My son was too excited to received the box and decided to open the box anyway. He love the Charizard figurine and we got some good pulls out of it. So I guess, we'll keep it LOL

I'm a youtuber (Haley Trades Cards), and I'm pretty lentient with most stuff. It came on time which is nice. But i did notice that the packs were easily rippable, which is a likely sign the packs have been tampered with. Compared to others, I got a little lucky with my pulls. But so many pulled a mega charizard ex! I guess that is just luck. Got two "holos" and some fancy ones that come along with Generations, as well as Flareon EX and the Charizard EX that comes along with it. The box also felt very glued together on one side, which also makes my gears grind a little. I wished I got the jumbo card, but this is my first figurine and it looks pretty cool, so ill let this one slide. Overall, not my best box. not my worst. Could have been better.

I've gotten boxes in the past, but the ones I've gotten from Amazon so far are top tier. I bought 5 from Amazon and here are the notable pulls I got in those 20 packs: Charizard EX, M Charizard EX, Blastoise EX, M Blastoise EX, 2x Jolteon EX, Meowstic EX, Sylveon EX (normal), Gardevoir EX, Sylveon EX (full art), 2x Flareon EX (normal), 2x Flareon EX (full art), Butterfree (holo).That's 14 EXs and a holo as my most notable pulls. I had a few reverse holo rares, too. Some of these packs had two EXs in the same pack.I don't know if Amazon weighed these and sent out the heaviest ones or what, but if I sold these cards I'd be gaining money. Always happy there. 5* because I got all 5 I ordered with nothing being damaged inside.I've already got 3 more on the way. Here's to hoping I have good pulls from those, too. (I'm looking at you, Articuno, Zapdos, and Vappy)

I'm writing this review on behalf of my very unhappy 8-year old son. I've attached a photo of the four packs that my son opened. He literally cried when he saw all the duplicate cards and not a single "EX" card out of the four packs. He thought at this price ($25 retail) you could expect to at least get a couple of "good" cards (his words). I understand that these cards are supposed to be random but you would think there would be a "checks and balances" in place to prevent so many duplicate cards. He used his birthday and tooth fairy money to buy this set and feels like he got cheated. He said he should have bought $25 worth of booster packs instead.

My 8 yr old grandson loves this, He was so thrilled. He and his friends have fun playing and trading these cards. He got 6 great cards in total. He wants another Card set for his birthday and 3rd set for Christmas.. I'll read reviews for other sets and go from there as to whether I order these for him. Hope the other Collections are just as exciting.

Great set that comes with a figure, four booster packs of ten cards from Pokemon generations and a foil promo card. If you're a collector of pokemon cards or looking to start I think these are great sets with an awesome little bonus for people who like to collect and wear pins.I've gotten almost all of the box sets from this series to date and I've had decent pull luck in getting cards I don't have or getting variations of cards I do have. Since it seems like some cards have three different versions - normal, holofoil, and reverse holofoil.
