The promo picture of this Papo model is so bad, I put off getting it for a long time. Let me just say, this is my favorite Papo figure.The head sculpt is nothing short of amazing, and the body sculpt is so realistic, I can almost see it breathing. I have all of the largePapo figures, and this is a masterpiece. If you're a dinosaur geek like me, this Baryonyx will thrill you.

This piece is expensive, the pose is awkward, the color choices are strange...but I still really enjoy this guy. It's a funky weird dinosaur with a ton of detail. It's big...if you have the Papo Running T-Rex or the Papo Spinosaurus, it's about as big as those in terms of length and overall size. Mine stands well on most surfaces even with the weird pose, better than the Running T-Rex that's for sure. In terms of accuracy, it's likely much closer to the real thing than the Spinosaurus is...the skull is nice and narrow and it holds its forearms more naturally with the palms facing in. Like most Papo dinosaurs he has an opening jaw that works very well. Overall I'm very happy with this piece.

Came just when expected. Phenomenally detailed! Paint job is fantastic! Jaw has great articulation and opens wide! Have it desplayed on my shelf with other Papo dinosaurs!

The jaws have hooked teeth which allowed me to use them to remove leeches from my sixteen year old daughter after she decided to go mudding in the gully I have told her many times not to go near. She kept telling me I should not pull them off but I just laughed and said "Here comes Mr. Chomps!" and then went to town on those suckers. I am buying three more for my siblings to use on their children.

First of all I have most of the papo dinosaur collection most of the dinos particularly the theropods are great. The best in my opinion is allosaurus. However t rex and carnotaurus are also exceptional. This baryonyx shows the best and worst of papo . First the dinosaur is a little to big and has a odd position some have said in reviews that it rested on its tail mine stands with the tail about an inch or two above the ground. however the animal probably could not stand quite this way. As for detail it is great maybe the best theropod head yet. the gloss is I think is meant to be water was a good intention [ baryonyx hunted fish ] it may have been too much the paint is my least favored part and needs work
