This is more of a flashlight and novelty off/on blacklight.I tried using it in places I know for sure my fur baby has had accidents before and nothing, but yet I can shine it on my new shoes that I know nothing is on and it lights them up. Shined it ona reg white wall-just a reg flashlight. Shined it in the dogs bed/cage where I know there are some dribbles/previous accidents-nothing but reg light. Shined it on the hall and living room rug where I know he's had accidents before and once again nothing but reg light. The blacklight part picks/chooses when it wants to light up something. This is nothing more than a reg ole cheapy China made flashlight. Requires 1 double AA battery. I recvd this item at a discount price in exchange for an honest review. Arrived from China 2 weeks or less in a bubble mailer. Box inside was smashed, but flashlight intact. It is the color that is shown(a light pink type color).

There are multiple uses for this item - Dried urine detector, counterfeit bill spotting, insects (especially scorpions here in Texas or bedbugs) - and this is a great, small, handy item to bring with you to check those things out on the road. Very nice case (jewelled, so very feminine), simple pushbutton and AA battery design. The light was not superbright but acceptable and urine shows up on a white background - more difficult on wood or dark background. This is not the light's fault but the nature of the stain.

This item took a while to arrive as it came from China. It came in a yellow bubble envelope and a thin box that held the flashlight. The box was broken but the flashlight is still intact. Like in the description, this is a very feminine flashlight, it even has rhinestone bling on it. The button to turn it off and on is cushioned and easily accessible with the thumb. It is small sized and appears to be durable. I tested it out on several surface and the only places where the light turned from the yellow glow to blue was on areas where there was a white background. Elmer's glue even turned blue when I shone the light on it as did one of my kids high chairs... It works well as a flashlight and a black light but I don't know if it shows surfaces that could cause cancer. There was no instruction booklet or manual that came with it. It is okay as a black light or a flashlight.4/15/16 Their customer service representative contacted me because of my issues and helped me to better understand how to use the product. I still believe that it is better as a black light but I am giving them an extra star because it's not just about the product, selling an item also has to do with helping your customers to understand the products and being patient with them.

I would have loved this if it had worked. It took a while to get here which I understand because it came from China. As soon as I got it, I put in a AA battery and it worked right away. I played with it for about 3 minutes then I turned it off and put it down. It hasn't worked since. I tried two new batteries and making sure it had good contact with what it needed and it won't turn on any more. I received this at a discount in exchange for my honest review.
