Very useful and attractive
This is a dinky two-cup teapot. The lid is loose, but I expected it and it doesn't matter. I took out the strainer as I have my own method of making herbal tea, so I don't need it. It is just what I need.

Poor quality
The quality of this item is terrible, the knob on the lid cracked in multiple places after one delicate handwash - almost the thickest part of the glass. There's no way I'd chance this in a dishwasher, it's so thin. Read the returns policy carefully, because there isn't one despite it saying "Non-returnable but eligible for refund if damaged or defective".There was no option to claim against this in the returns section and I had to contact customer service (which was a mission in itself) to get a refund, which I suspect Amazon ended up footing the bill for.

SUPERB!!
I loved the shape of this when I first saw it but, having had several disappointing tea-pot purchases in the past, I was a little hesitant - especially when I saw the position and shape of the 'holes' in the infuser. I needn't have worried! I never expected to be so excited about a tea-pot - and certainly not to wax lyrical about one! - but I absolutely LOVE this. It's nice to be able to watch the tea infusing, especially if using some special, decorative leaves, and I've not had a 'bad' cup of tea from it, regardless of the type of tea I've used. I cannot recommend it highly enough and I'm absolutely thrilled with my purchase.

Decent quality
Initially bought to use with mullein tea. I use for loose tea now and it's ok, just harder to get leaves out that's left after tapping out. The holes are small elongated gaps, not your typical strainer, but does the same job. Ideal for one cup as its only small.

Pours beautifully. Brews very well too.
A lovely teapot with an inner removable glass brewing basket. The basket has a few slits to allow the tea to brew and at first I thought that the tea would not brew well because of the lack of perforations, I was wrong. It brews very very well, although you do need to pour the water on top of your leaves slowly to allow the water to drain through the slits.Once brewed comes the best but pouring to drink. So many teapots fail at the pour, they either dribble from the spout sides or gush out from the lid as you tilt. This teapot has a great spout that gives a 'proud' pour and reminds me of long spout Spanish Red wine decanters, it sounds silly but I love watching my tea pour from this pot.I use double walled 250ml clear glass tea cups so this teapot looks like a, set next to my cups and I get a full cup plus some left in the pot.for a top up, I usually pour a cup then top up the teapot again and leave brewing as I drink my first cup, I always manage to get two good brews from my leaves and the flavours are not compromised in the second brew either. This sized pot is a one person pot. I love it, it makes drinking tea more pleasurable for me, I love the tea making ritual. I've bought my daughter one as a shocking filler, at the moment they're not available so there's no price but when I bought my daughters it was £9.99 which I think is excellent value for a well made teapot that doesn't dribble when pouring. It looks lovely too.Happy to recommend.

Not the best
Glass is super thin and fragile so you have to be really careful when handling it. The strainer holes are a bit too big so small tea leaves will fall through and I have to double strain

The Curate’s Egg of Tea Pots
I bought the smaller of the two options, which is adequate for my purposes. As others have observed, the lid does not fit as tightly as one might wish and so I tend to hold it in place when pouring. If using tea bags, it’s perfectly fine. However, loose leaf tea is a challenge; adding the water is a five stage process because you have to keep stopping to allow the water to permeate through the infuser. This replaced one that shattered when carelessly dropped; I have now repurchased that one because the stainless steel mesh infuser is ideally suited to loose leaf tea.

Awesome
Just the perfect size for my cup of tea. I've used it every day since it arrived.

Teiera
