Quality cable but with 2017 Mac issues
I gave this four stars because I believe this is a quality cable and does what it's supposed to do. However I do have flickering issues with a 2017 MacBook Pro 15 and a Dell U2718Q. My opinion is the issue has more to do with the MacOS than it does with this cable. When the monitor starts flickering powering off the monitor then powering it back on usually solves the flickering. But I use both video inputs of the Dell monitor so I would have to do this every time I switched back over to the Mac.The reason I think this is a MacOS issue is because I don't have a single problem when the same Mac is running Windows 10 under boot camp. Aside from that it runs a 4K monitor at 60Hz like's it's supposed to.

Connects 27" 2017 iMac to 27" mid-2010 iMac. LOTS of screen real estate now.
Worked out of the box to connect my 27" 2017 iMac to my 27" mid-2010 iMac. Based on some of the questions and answers here and the web, I wasn't sure if it would work, but my 2010 iMac immediately switched to Target Display Mode when I made the connection. The machines are connected via Gigabit ethernet, so I can use Screen Sharing to bring up the 2010 iMac. I can use one keyboard and mouse for both machines, no KVM switch necessary. I wrote this review using Screen Sharing. I gave it 4 stars because I just started using it and haven't put it through its paces, yet. If it continues to work like this, my 2010 iMac investment will last much longer. (UPDATE: Cable still working great, but I was surprised to learn that audio can also be sent to the other computer. Not only that, using the built-in Audio MIDI setup utility, you can combine the two machines and have the same audio come out of both.) UPDATE 2: Upgrading my evaluation to 5 Stars because it is working flawlessly.

Works great, good quality cable, what more can you ask for at the price?
Tested this with a 2016 15" Macbook Pro and a Dell P2715Q. The cable appears to be of good quality, nice thick cabling and sturdy-feeling plastic. My display looks clear with zero flickering, and the connectors are very firmly attached on both sides of the cable. If you have a 4k display, this or the full size displayport cable are what you want for the full experience - not an HDMI cable.

Not recommended for Universal Audio Apollo Twin MK II
I needed to utilize a Thunderbolt adapter for some equipment I recently purchased (a Universal Audio Apollo Twin connecting to an Intel NUC) - and since this product was WAY less expensive than the adapter/connector which was recommended by Universal Audio, I gave it a shot. While it may work for some applications, it does not function as a Thunderbolt 3 connector/adapter with my particular set of equipment.

Works well with Apple Display
I use it with my 2016 Macbook Pro and an Apple Cinema Display, and it works very well. Cable is well constructed, and looks durable. I have had many Choetech cables and they have all worked well, so I have no doubts this one would last long as well.
