Worked immediately out of the box. No drivers or setup required - Windows 10 Professional
I delidded an old PNY GTX 980 XLR8 OCE (very expensive older generation graphics card) to put new thermal compound on it and when I did the mini-hdmi port went out on me.I ordered this as that card had extra Displayport connections and all I did was switch the adapter from mini-hdmi to DP and I instantly had my 3rd display back up and running!Always happy to write a good review on Amazon!

Supports 4K/60 with Intel NUC5i5RYH
I bought this adapter to output 4K/60 (3840x2160 at 60 Hz) from my 5th generation i5 NUC to my television, since the HDMI output is only v1.4 (4K/30), which makes mouse movement look *terrible*. It took a little bit of sleuthing to get it to work, though, because it still only did 4K/30 out of the box. I had to use the Intel Graphics control panel to create a custom resolution of 4K at 60 Hz **AND ALSO** set the video timing to _CVT-RB_. (If I didn't set the timing as such, the dialog would report an error that there was not enough bandwidth for this resolution and refresh rate.) This got it working just fine. It's only been running for a day but I'll report back if anything changes.Update: -1 star for Windows Media Center's Playready component not recognizing it in the HDCP process, preventing live TV (with CableCard device) and recorded content with DRM from displaying.Update (Dec. 2020): I've had this device stowed away for a couple years and just broke it out to output video from a 2017 Surface to an external monitor's HDMI port. The monitor immediately configured for 4K/60 with zero problems in Windows 10. I tested out Netflix and Prime video and had zero problems. I added back that fifth star, since it works so well, and it seems petty to penalize this product for WMC's shortcomings.

Works well when it decides to work.
Has weird connection issues with my 4k TV. Causes my Mac to flicker a black screen on and off, freezing the computer. When the device actually works it is 4k60hz, but when I wake the computer from sleep the screen with often start flickering and computer start freezing again.Maybe it's just an issue with my computer, I don't have another mini display port to test it with. I'll give 3 star because when it works it really does work.

It is not cheap, but it's high quality.
Meets manufacturer's specifications, used to connect AMD FirePro W4100 graphics card to Samsung K6400 4K Tv, chroma 4:4:4 8-bit color on 3840x2160@60hz 4k resolution and chroma 4:4:4 10 or 12-bit color on 1920x1080@60hz resolution, construction and excellent performance; I previously recommended the Club-3D mDP-HDMI CAC-1170 when it was best priced here in Spain, but now costing the same I definitely recommend Accell, all the products I bought from this brand are simply well made, like HDMI cable B146C-007B.Highly recommended!!Translate by Google

Didn't last
Though I was never able to get 4k@60 out of a 2014 Macbook Pro with this adaptor (I didn't try third-party resolution tools), it worked well at that spec with a PC for a month, but then started having problems with sections of the screen glitching horizontally for a frame every few minutes, sometimes in bursts. I tried replacing all of the other cabling in the path and it didn't help, and then I swapped out this adaptor out for another brand and no glitching.

This made me able to achieve 60hz on my 2015 MacBook Pro
With is, and using SwitchResX, I was able to achieve 60hz refresh rate on various resolutions including 4K, on my 2015 MacBook Pro. Without this adapter I was only able to select 30hz for the same resolutions. It works just as well as the Microsoft adapter but for a cheaper price too. It’s amazing and does what other said couldn’t be done. I do notice a bit of sharpness when using 60hz though but I think that’s just Apple and not the adapter, but I’m happy to have 60hz finally.

not active
the listing says active, it is not, nor does the packaging even suggest it.I attempted to hook up my monitor with it anyways, introduced odd artifacts with standard 2k and 1080p.

VIZIO M-Series M43-C1 4k 60hz does not work
Does not work with VIZIO M-Series 43" Class Ultra HD Full'Array LED Smart TV M43-C1 at 4k 3840x2160 at 60hz on HDMI Port 5 using a Gefore GT 750M graphics card Driver Version 364.51. It does work at 4k 30hz though. I'm using a Ultra Slim Active High Speed HDMI® Cable, 18Gbps, 6ft Silver that supports 4K@60Hz. :-(Apparently it's an issue with this particular VIZIO series TV because the CAC-1070 has/had the same problem. It's a firmware issue on the paradetech PS176 chip used on these adapters after digging around on insights club 3d forum.Update:I did finally get it to work at 4k 60hz 4:2:0 with a firmware update to the adapter and using a custom resolution created in the NVIDIA Control panel using the CVT reduced blank timing.
