John Frieda Root Awakening Health Boosting Detangling Spray for ALL Hair Types - 6 fl oz

I've used this stuff for over a year now. I have really long hair that tangles easily. I put some on right after I get out of the shower, let it sit for a minute or two and then brush my hair out. Definitely helps untangle it so I'm not wincing in pain from my brush getting stuck. Highly recommend for those who need a detangler.

I like this item well enough just it seems like it's not as good as it was when it was called root awakening health boosting detangling spray but so far the good people at John Frieda.com say it's the same stuff but it just seems not to work as well as it did I mean it has made my hair stronger and there is less breakage but the product used to make my hair feel really silky to but o well it still makes ur hair stronger so that is good to and it dues help get the tangles out.I just wonder y thy changed the name on the bottle if thy did not change what was inside the bottle to but I'm sure the world will never know right lol any way enjoy.

I love this product, from the aroma to the way it feels in my hair--not sticky or oily. It just does its job, to calm down my frizz. Now that I can't find it in the store anymore, I'm so excited that it is sold here!

It works fine not good for my hair type though

I love all of John Frieda's products--not a single one that I've tried has let me down, hair color included. At the moment, I'm using his Root Awakening Breakage-Prone shampoo and conditioner and I absolutely love those. Not only is the smell and "minty-fresh" feeling amazing but the softness of my hair has improved within a week, as well. Experiencing these results, I purchased the Root Awakening Health Boosting Detangling spray, expecting the same, ball-park results. Instead, I was disappointed with this John Frieda product.Disappointments:1. I'm not able to run my fingers through my hair without them getting hung up at the ends, which doesn't happen normally.2. The spray left my skin and scalp oily--I felt the need to wash my hair after using the spray (sparingly) on my roots.3. My hair had a squeaky, oily feel to it.4. My hair was dull, post-use.5. My hair's overall appearance was flat and dirty-looking. Made my hair look like I had not washed it that day.6. Another thing I noticed was the second ingredient was denatured alcohol. WHAT?! There were several other types of alcohols added to the product as well, which I was not pleased about.I'm disappointed mainly because of the oil-esque feeling this product gave my hair and the fact that I had to wash my hair afterward (with more of John Frieda's shampoo....hmmmm......) because I was so unhappy with the built-up feeling.Pros: Great long lasting smell, fresh tingle, similar to his Root Awakening shampoo/condition line. I ended up using this as an air freshener spray for the bathroom (which was actually not a bad idea!). I got my moneys worth, at least.

This root booster was ok, but it made my hair too oily and heavy. I only tried it after seeing it featured in a "must have" article for products to help you wash your hair every other day. (Since daily washing is pretty damaging.) If you have really thick or curly hair, you might like this.If you have thin or straight hair, it might feel too oily. Instead, I recommend the John Frieda root booster in the pale blue bottle. That one I use every day. It gives volume and helps revive hair on non-wash days.

For those who've actually read what the product is supposed to do, it's meant to be a boost to your hair. It's not really meant to detangle, and if you follow the directions, you will see the results.After a shower, I massage this into my roots, just like you're supposed to, and it does help to detangle my hair. Yes, it's not the greatest at detangling, but it's just a boosting leave in spray. I sleep with it in, and when I wake up in the morning, I have noticed some instant results. My hair at the roots looks plain healthy. It's shiny, and ultra smooth. I have frizzy hair that normally looks dry, but after I started using this spray, the difference was instant.It does have a smell, like eucalyptus and mint crossed together, which is rather pleasant, and leaves my hair smelling a bit like I just came from the salon.Overall, I have noticed a big difference in the texture of my hair on the nights that I use this, and the nights that I don't. It's meant to be a leave in spray to boost your roots, and for me, it's definitely a staple.

A fantastic product and I have tried many others and paid a lot more. Fantastic for fine fly away hair - not heavy or sticky a leave in product that is fantastic and smells wonderfull my hair has a lot more volume and it last's all day!
